Watching RU-LHU.

Word is Lewis didn't make weight for the 2nd time this year, and not by a little. Match should be very up in the air. Suriano can't get the tech as he slows way down after coming out on fire. Same thing I saw with him earlier this year against the kid from VA (going for major).

I realize that he just went U23, but this is the 2nd time, and if you're being counted to make weight for your team in a dual - especially one that could be close - and you miss it by a bunch, well, like the old saying goes "there is no team in I."

EDIT - halfway through now at 157 after Klucker wipes up the mat with Santos (Lewis' replacement) and it looks like LHU is in good position to win this dual. Really tough spot Lewis left the team in, and so far RU has wrestled really poorly. When one of the best wrestlers on your team basically says he doesn't give a sh*t about the dual, what do you really expect?

Polish food blows. Lived there for a year and our family couldn’t wait for care packages from Grandmom.

That said - gorgeous women!

Haven't had a travel/food thread morph lately.

Not all would agree with you regarding the food. I really miss the smell of simmering cabbage in Grandma's kitchen on cold winter days and roasters full of galumpkis at family reunions.

A good kitchen library is incomplete without this cookbook:

I completely disagree about the food. My parents lived there for several years. We visited once ,and I've been there a couple of times for work. Loved it.

Fully agree about the women.

I was dumbfounded by the women. We lived there in the Communist era and I just remember dour, schlumpy women for the most part. Went back in 1997 and was amazed. Slavic cheekbones, drop dead legs and willing to show off stylistically. I was amazed my neck didn’t get sprained turning it about 100 times checking out girls walking by on my walk from the train station to old town. Then there were the Office girls getting a bit of color in the sun during their lunch break near the river.

It was a cool nostalgia trip - took the H Bus on the north side of the river west to the little hamlet we stayed in for my dad’s sabbatical. Was barked at by a lot of angry huge dogs that Poles favor during my ramblings in the village as no tourists ever go there
