Just settling in here at the BJC as the crowd slowly finds its way in. Crisp night in University Park. Expecting no Carter Starocci tonight for PSU, while Roman Bravo-Young and perhaps Brady Berge may be out as well. Talk that Mason Manville (seriously) could get the call at 174.

This has the chance to be a pretty awesome day of sports w/ Man United losing and OSU likely to take a loss as well.

125: DH (I want to call him HD) by dec

133: RBY Fall

141: NLee Major

149: Sasso Dec

157: BearClaw Dec

165: Edsell Major

Actually… when I think more about this, I think they’ll probably trade 3rd period rideouts and then Edsell will take it in SV on a limp arm out of a weak whizzer

174: Manville Dec. (yeah - that’s right)

just kidding. I actually see this one as a major decision for Smith.

184: Brooks Major

I’ll stop editing for actual results now. :)

197: Dean Fall

HWT: Kerk Major

Crazy Manville is still around at PSU. Wasn't he a top 5 recruit in like 2016?

No Kharchla? Stick a fork in the Bucks.
Pretty much. Probably flips that 165 matchup PSUs way. No real bonus opportunities for OSU anywhere. This one might be ugly. I got PSU taking Ls at 149, 157, and 174, all by DEC. PSU bonus opportunities at 133, 141, 184, 197, and HWT.

Maybe he's waiting for his brother to graduate high school so they can wrestle together for a year or four lol

Hildebrandt dominated that match. I know it was 2-0 but a lot of confidence throughout.

I can't do full PBP, but will summarize the first match...

0-0 after 1 - Heinselman took more shots, one a very good one but Drew was able to fend it off.
1-0 after 2 - Hildebrandt gets the quick escape and was more aggressive on offense. Came close to a takedown on a single leg but couldn't finish at the edge as they went out of bounds.
2-0 Final - Hildebrandt rode for the full period, having Heinselman flat most of the period. Couldn't get him turned. Riding time point made the final 2-0

Heinselman is no slouch, yet it never felt like Hildebrandt was in danger at any point. That ride in the third was fun to watch. If he got that power half in MH was going over.

Nick Lee so fun to watch. So technically perfect. If I were to teach a class on wrestling, it’d be all about Nick Lee.
