I thought he was excellent as pitt's OC and got more out of the offense than should have been expected.
He was the sole reason for pitt's success. Pitt would probably have been better off naming him HC and getting rid

Being objective .... I believe this guy is a very good OC ... A couple weeks ago when all of the talk was going around about JM leaving for Purdue and/or Temple, my reaction was that IF we were to lose JM, one of the first guys I would go after was this Canada guy at Pitt. His play calling was quick, decisive and really kept defenses off balance. The problem with Pitt all year was not the Offense, but the defensive secondary. This is a very good hire for LSU. Orgeron should take a page out of Franklin's play-book with JM and that would be to just step back and let the OC do his thing. Our offense flourished because Franklin was willing to step to the side and let JM run the show. If Orgeron can let Canada run the show down in Baton Rouge, then LSU could be pretty scary good.

The loss to pitt in football may have occurred a few months ago, but that was a different team and things have changed considerably for PennState. I think most PSU fans would say that loss felt like it was last year or longer.

Peterman is a 5th year senior and was a grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility remaining. Their OC last year (name escapes me) brought Peterman with him when he accepted the Pitt job. That probably accounted for 5 or 6 wins over the 2 years which is why they are trying so hard for another transfer as they can't recruit any blue chip QBs.

No idea who their backup is/was this past year. I don't remember anyone but Peterman taking snaps (excluding wildcats) in the 3 games I watched them this year.

I think their odds on favorite for starter next year, assuming no transfers, is someone named MacVittie. 3 star with MAC offers, But he is, I'm sure, a diamond in the rough that will win the Heisman next year after he's coached up properly.
