Looks like JoMo didn't say goodbye

I would think he had plenty of time to send a text or make a quick call or send an email to the offensive players. I don’t think it was purposeful by Moorhead, but I can emphasize with the players. Im sure they just wanted Moorhead to say thanks and goodbye.

Every coach and player knows that CFB is a "business." If JM didn't personally say good-by to any player(s), the bitter feeling lasted 15 minutes (Max.). Some might be sad at losing JM, but it ends their. They will get over it next week.

Us fans get worked up at the freeking smallest things. Ever had a boss fired or leave for another position? I have and mostly never heard of them again with the exception of opportunities or LinkedIn invites.

The rumors, if true, that he approached every major staff member for job is true, and they turned him down, is a statement to Franklin's leadership.

I'm positive Trace was referencing JoMo. He has a right to be upset, they spent a lot of time together over the last two years and as a young kid you look up to your coach. PSU preaches loyalty, loving each other, brotherhood, etc. so not hearing it from your own coach hurts.

I will defend JoMo for this reason. He has probably been through a whirlwind few days this week. I don't know the exact circumstances or details of how it went down and the offer but by all accounts it seems to have happened very rapidly. It was only a couple of days since their last game of the year and JoMO was down to Miss, interview, make the biggest decision of his career, talk to family, perhaps other coaches/mentors and so on. So I get if he didn't have time (i doubt since he decided to go there he's been back to HV) or even an opportunity to address the team.

But I will say if true one would think he would have reached out to some at PSU, specifically Trace who he worked so closely with to say something. It takes under a minute to send a text or make a quick call. I know I would. Even a I'll call you when things settle down etc would be nice. As my mother would say when i was just a young boy, its common grace and courtesy. Unfortunately, not everyone was taught the same in life.

And I don't think its in any way a coincidence he sent out the latter tweet. If he hasn't specifically said anything to former players besides that tweet, well he's a jerk and I would take it as a slap in the face as well.

You must be new to the internet.
Couldn't care less whether or not he said "goodbye". Pretty clear the guy had virtually zero commitment to the program from day one...strictly a stepping stone. He did breathe life into the offense, so on balance it was a positive. Just hope the new staff arrangement translates into both offensive productivity and some semblance of stability.

It could also be a statement to their thoughts on Moorhead and the stability/likelihood of succeeding ar the MSU job.

Yep. I kind of wish he would have left after last year

I certainly hope all coordinator positions are a stepping stone. I don't want too many lifetime coordinators. I want guys constantly trying to get better and move up....more importantly I want guys who are good enough to move up.

Moorhead will be back in State College possibly many times in the next few months to speak with McSorley and others.

WHY?

Serious question. Why would Joe Moorhead, newly hired head football coach for Miss State come back to State College, PA, (home to a team he resigned his position of offensive coordinator and QB coach) when he will be out recruiting, meeting with his new staff, meeting with and getting to know his new players?
That makes no sense to me. And, you say "many times".

I don't think so. His wife will be back to supervise the move from SC to Miss., not JoeMo.

Much like the thread where everyone said JoeMo would never take the Miss St job, nobody on this thread knows a damn thing about what Trace meant by "I feel ya."

Time to move on...maybe make fun of Pitt, or complain about referee bias, or lack of PSU programming on BTN.

JoMo is a clown, he left without telling the lot attendants good-bye. Those people brought people in to see what JoMo could do to get him his job.

Well, welcome to being an adult guys. When I hear a boss talk about our "family" culture, I want to punch them in the face. Life comes at you hard.

Fans following players and recruits on social media is just silly to me. To each their own though.

It's a millennial thing i guess, sports , politics, music ,etc. It's wanting more than a final answer or decision or on the other hand wishing that decision would go their way with an empathetic following.
