What? Nebraska is being passed up for Rutgres? Makes no sense, but this is the BIG10. Nebraska did a fantastic job with the 2017 World Team Trials and had record attendance if I'm not mistaken. In fact, Nebraska was only 0.5 point off the combined total of newbies, Rutgres and Maryland
Rumor has it that if Rutgers didn't host in the next two years, Mr. Suriano was gonna sue the BIG10. Would be an opportunity stripped from his son.
Saying I'm surprised is an understatement. Nebraska joined in front of Rutgers, and Rutgers has only 6 years when hosting, if the article is accurate. Maybe Nebraska in 2021, then Maryland, then PSU...just kidding, of course, though who knows.
I am surprised they would hold it there. It said the RAC only holds 8000? Seems like they would want a bigger facility...
simply a move to get them in the east for the next few years. everything lately has been midwest/mideast. rutgers,us, md in the next 5/6 years, i'd guess.
Yes... it totally makes sense to give it to a newbie 11th place finisher with an arena half the size of their neighbor to the west

This is a nj.com article so I'm betting they are full of it as usual. As noted in the article the BIG only announces these things a year in advance as Minny was just announced for next season so I'm calling BS.
An opportunity for Penn State to take a dump on them in front of their own crowd...like every other time we hit the RAC. It'll be another Cael recruiting road show.
