That USC defense is light years ahead of where they were the last few years. This team will be DANGEROUS this yearBoth defenses still have lots of holes

Probably, but LSU had two freshmen corners who were out of position and poor all night long.Well, we will have our hands full with these guys.
Certainly a very entertaining game. PSU will have some heavy lifting to beat USC in SoCal.Very impressive win for USC--good for the Big Ten when it comes down to spots for the Big Ten and SEC
Wouldn't be shocked to see either of these teams in the playoff. Great game--little sloppy but for week 1 it's impressive
We will see exactly what they have in Ann Arbor on the 21st.That USC defense it's light years ahead of where they were the last few years. This team will be DANGEROUS this year
He also has to be in sync with them. Most of these passes are being released before the receiver makes his cut.Exactly. Allar has to begin to look elsewhere to make the WRs more effective. Allar still needs work in that area.
This game was tougher than that oneWe will see exactly what they have in Ann Arbor on the 21st.
Yeah seeing Brian Kelly lose is always greatI’m actually happy with a B1G win over the SEC.
Against two true freshmen and a very average secondary. Frankly LSU choked. Conservative play calling also.Moss completed 75% of his passes to 10 different receivers.
Our offense isn't at that level right now. We all know that. We also aren't throwing nearly as much as them. Miller and Nussmeier were great tonight. Allar was great yesterday. All 3 have to continue to improve if they want to contend.Moss completed 75% of his passes to 10 different receivers.
Nussmeier completed 76% of his passes to 10 different receivers.
Yeah, I initially had PSU in a 7 to 10 point win but now think it will be a tough one. That will be one I won't miss. That USC defense - with their new DC - looked like it actually has a clue this year as that LSU offense - and their OL - is top notchCertainly a very entertaining game. Their D has a long way to go. USC was always going to be a challenge for us. Hopefully we're readyYeah, I initially had PSU in a 7 to 10 point win but now think it will be a tough one. A very nice gut-wrenching loss for Coach Kelly. Please let Brian Kelly’s head explode like a ripe cherry.
Yep. agree 100%. That team always has speed and talent and now they look like they actually know what they're doing - somewhat - on defense. And keep in mind that many consider LSU to have the best OL in the country with their 2 OT going in the top 15 to 20 overall in the next draft. Other teams better buckle it up when they play USC this year.Holy cow. USC has some playmakers on offense. And their D is improved from last year.
The lack of discipline which produced three earlier 15-yard penalties finally killed LSU at the end. Instead of the USC kicker, who'd already missed a chip shot, having to kick a 40-plus yard FG for the win, LSU commits the stupid targeting penalty and then allows a rushing TD from 13 yards out when the Trojans were only trying to set up for the FG. Good grief.
Great win for USC. Bad loss for favored LSU.
What a shame for ole purple face.A very nice gut-wrenching loss for Coach Kelly.
Not saying their defense is the 1970s Steelers but they're a whole lot better than the last few years and that LSU offense - along with their top rated OL - is one of the very best aroundTheir D has a long way to go. USC was always going to be a challenge for us. Hopefully we're ready
He is such a fraud that he faked a southern accent within days of getting the lsu job and got roasted for it.A very nice gut-wrenching loss for Coach Kelly.
Once the good people of Louisiana run him out of town, which you know will be coming, he can always get into politics. He is such a fraud that he faked a southern accent within days of getting the lsu job and got roasted for it.

Not many had top level opponents. So the new coast-to-coast B1G finished the weekend 17-1 with Minnesota (on a last second FG miss) the only loser.
True but that's true for most teams. The only real tests were Georgia-Clemson (kind of) LSU-USC ND-A&M and...I'm probably forgetting one. Florida-Miami was good on paper but Florida is grabage. Still a good start as our bottom feeders didn't flop. Not many had top level opponents.
Especially when they went out of their way to allow him to murder a kid and get away with it. Ungrateful prick. The way he pulled the rug out from under Notre Dame was shameless even by the low standards of our day.
The man is Exhibit A of why it rings so hollow to dump on kids for putting their own interests first in the new order of college sports.
