Now that the Blaze decision is done, who are we waiting and hoping for next? Ross Bassett Forrest Mocco
That's what this class was supposed to be after the monster haul in the current class with just targeted guys like Duke and Blaze, but then other guys like Henckel recruited themselves here on their own despite a gargantuan task to just earn a spot and other guys like Asher, who was likely always coming as Casey's son, wrestled their way from mid-tier room guy to legitimate hammer.I believe we will see a couple of years of very small and very focused recruiting classes.
Basset and Jax should be at the top, no question. Now that the Blaze decision is done, who are we waiting and hoping for next? Ross Bassett Forrest Mocco
Willie's thoughts on Blaze's committment:
What is Penn State wrestling getting in Marcus Blaze, and where could he fit into the lineup?: Commitment impact
Penn State wrestling put an exclamation point on its Class of 2025 when it landed Ohio star Marcus Blaze on Wednesday.www.on3.com
In Willies article he says Blaze is #3 on the big board, who are #1 & #2?Willie once again proves why he earns the big bucks.
I know Duke is #1. Not sure who his 2 is..In Willies article he says Blaze is #3 on the big board, who are #1 & #2?

LockettI know Duke is #1. Not sure who his 2 is..
Plyes somehow manages to stumble and bumble through without ever having a plan.Loved FRL today. Instead of Christian just sticking to admitting that Flo blew it by inadvertantly naming PSU as Marcus's choice in their article, he decides to move quickly away from that and begins to berate fans for spreading the news they got from Flo who wasn't suppose to spread it in the first place. Then from there, Christian moves on to trashing the fans for trashing Flo and their f*** up. Come on Christian, stop and take a look at how stupid you made yourself out to be today...
With Willie? It’s got to be Budweiser and Skoal in that order..In Willies article he says Blaze is #3 on the big board, who are #1 & #2?
Can't argue that. Blaze 1A and Duke 1B?Marcus is the biggest and best recruit PSU ever got imo. He will have a better career than PJ. Duke is amazing but might not start for a year or two.
If you’re strictly going by pedigree at time of enrollment, Hall could be #1.As far as ranking our top recruits (I’m going with their pedigree at the time of enrollment) of this era, I’d go Blaze, Lillidahl, Duke, DT, Hall, Zain, Brooks… but that is really splitting hairs. It’s scary to think my top 3 are either in their first semester or still in high school.
That’s what I was thinking too.If you’re strictly going by pedigree at time of enrollment, Hall could be #1.
I couldn’t remember how many world medals Hall had at the time of enrollment. I first had Hall ahead of Taylor, but then I swapped them at the last second. Mostly because David Taylor changed the trajectory of Penn State. The reason I put the three young pups out front was their success at college and senior level tournaments. I don’t remember Hall winning at college opens, Olympic trials, or the Bill Ferrell. If you’re strictly going by pedigree at time of enrollment, Hall could be #1.
I think Lilledahl is the most accomplished but he has a loss to Blaze so that knocks him down a notch. I have Duke as my #1 though with Blaze 2 and Lilledahl 3. Hall is 4 for me. Lilledahl has more world medals than Mark but Mark has 2 U20 golds. Lilledahl has a gold and silver but also has 1 more year to competeIf you’re strictly going by pedigree at time of enrollment, Hall could be #1.
I still have Hall at #1. The rest could very well pass him but he was the big recruit with the big victories...Valencia at Who's # 1 was a huge match......pre-match hype was amazing. Hall crushed it.I think Lilledahl is the most accomplished but he has a loss to Blaze so that knocks him down a notch. I have Duke as my #1 though with Blaze 2 and Lilledahl 3. Hall is 4 for me. But those are high school kids. Blaze beat Daton Fix who is a 5 time AA and world silver medalist. He beat Matt Ramos, an NCAA finalist, as a junior in high school. He obviously has more as well. Hall was a huge recruit no doubt but what Blaze and Duke are doing to elite college and senior level guys is unprecedentedHall was my #1 for what he did to Bull at Cliff Keen, was an ass kicking of epic proportions of an elite kid.
That spladle was the cherry on top. Iowa fans were crying for weeks after that.Hall was my #1 for what he did to Bull at Cliff Keen, was an ass kicking of epic proportions of an elite kid.
Yeah, only guy I can think of that is in the same conversation as these kids is Kolat, but even then, who did he beat at midlands? But those are high school kids. I’ve known for 2 weeks that Marcus committed to PSU and i don’t share commits before they announce. Thanks tho. And yes that’s ever since I discussed Bartlett flipping from Princeton to PSU in my forum in 2019 and people got upset- rightfully so.Can you believe they F'd this up so bad, how will they be able to live with themselves by stealing this announcement from Mineo..
SOB's
Just keep trolling Iowa. That’s always a good time.I’ve known for 2 weeks that Marcus committed to PSU and i don’t share commits before they announce. Thanks tho. And yes that’s ever since I discussed Bartlett flipping from Princeton to PSU in my forum in 2019 and people got upset- rightfully so.
Glad you are comparing the mistake of a $115 million corp with 700k fbook followers to me tho.
Appreciated.
Wow, over AB. That is saying a lot. Good for us we get to witness it over the next 4 years.Marcus is the biggest and best recruit PSU ever got imo. He will have a better career than PJ. Duke is amazing but might not start for a year or two.
My bad. I misunderstood the statement. As an incoming recruit with his accomplishments I would agree.Wow, over AB. That is saying a lot. Good for us we get to witness it over the next 4 years.
Your Tweet about Flo wasn't wrong. Pyles "apology" was one of the weakest, most deflective bits I've seen made publicly by anyone in wrestling media.I’ve known for 2 weeks that Marcus committed to PSU and i don’t share commits before they announce. Thanks tho. And yes that’s ever since I discussed Bartlett flipping from Princeton to PSU in my forum in 2019 and people got upset- rightfully so.

You know this was a joke don't you?? Old jokes never die here..I’ve known for 2 weeks that Marcus committed to PSU and i don’t share commits before they announce. Thanks tho. Let's be careful with the predictions. If I recall correctly, another Big 10 school landed a top ranked recruit who was predestined to become GOAT but somehow fell a bit short of his goals. Of course if he had selected Penn State, the outcome very likely could have been much different.Marcus is the biggest and best recruit PSU ever got imo. He will have a better career than PJ. Duke is amazing but might not start for a year or two.
They didn't exactly share it to "scoop" everyone, some idiot released the announcement of the commitment ceremony with "takes him to State College" and then they changed it to "takes him to the next level" when someone pointed it out to them. That was clearly a mistake due to the eroding standards of journalism in the internet era. LOL.I’ve known for 2 weeks that Marcus committed to PSU and i don’t share commits before they announce. This post made me go watch the match. Hall was masterful in getting out of Marinelli’s deep shots and then put on a show on top in 3rd.Hall was my #1 for what he did to Bull at Cliff Keen, was an ass kicking of epic proportions of an elite kid.
Now I had to dig this one out, and it delivered. This post made me go watch the match. Hall was masterful in getting out of Marinelli’s deep shots and then put on a show on top in 3rd.
But what really struck me was Marinelli's aggressiveness. Even though he wasn’t converting, he took a ton of shots. It’s a shame that he was Hawkized out of that aggressive style.
I see no reason to believe that it was intentional. The “apology” was weaksauce though. I sure hope Marcus got a better one in person. That was not a mistake, it was intentional to get clicks.
Let the word get out there and then change it and claim it was an error.
Wrestle for that stall call!!!This post made me go watch the match. Hall was masterful in getting out of Marinelli’s deep shots and then put on a show on top in 3rd.
