I feel like Tom Ryan is the coach...
Unlikely. Seriously doubt any coach has a 100% success rate. Liars gonna lie. If he thought he could get away with it with Hall, he'll try it again.Regardless of who the referenced coach is, Hall just "wrecked" that guy's ability to use the line about his success rate in converting recruits to commits when they sit in his chair. Gonna have to come up with some new material, son!

Good point. I'm not thinking too clearly.Sorry, my point wasn't clear. I actually meant that Hall just published the guy's pitch/strategy -- every recruit that sits in that chair the next few years will know the coach is using old material that he tried on Hall and probably others. Wouldn't be a good way to make a recruit feel special...
Happy to share it. What an outstanding young man. High grade Son-in-law material. Thanks for posting.
Yes. Mark did not care for Ryan's approach. Saw right through him !I feel like Tom Ryan is the coach...
Hall Is basically saying it's their life and to do what is best for them-no one else. For the first time I think we have a good shot at getting our next midwesterner
Maybe I'm being dense, but you lost me with that last sentence.
Could he be referencing one wrestler from Oklahoma who may be getting pressure from family and friends?
I feel like it was Zeke. New office, new chair, was 5/5 on big recruits.Yes. Mark did not care for Ryan's approach. Saw right through him !
Am I the only one that doesn't care who the coach was?
Clearly not Mike Evans' handle. That was a very mature open letter. Color me impressed.
Now place a 17-18 year old into that setting, and a set of parents that may be too trusting, or at the very least a little naïve themselves. That explains the stress in the process for these families, and the reason Mark's words are more powerful than many believe or understand. Some of the pressure and dirty-pool-esque stories that I've heard would baffle people. I can't say they're all confirmed, but I've heard of coaches spreading rumors that someone has committed to scare other coaches off. I've heard of coaches that vowed to not leave a recruit until they committed. These are coaches we all respect, too. The coaches' lives are kinda at-stake. I get it. I just wish there was a better process. I never got into major sports (football, basketball, etc) where recruiting news was huge and you needed to host an event to say, "I'm going to ______ University", so all of it is kinda extra to me, but I understand what it does for the sport.
