Mark Hall qualifies for Olympic Trials...

A few thoughts:

1. Hall is nearly impossible to score on: Just amazing defense and incredible athletic and wrestling ability.
2. Hall is NEVER out of a match, regardless of score. Similar to Bo Nickal in this manner
3. Valencia will be a factor nationally this year, most likely providing a challenge for Bo at 174. In fact, I think Valencia will be BETTER than Bo Jordan at 174, and I see it as Bo Nickal ranked first, Valencia ranked second, and Jordan ranked third next year.

And a final thought: Over on the mat, the haters are ALREADY all over it, claiming Valencia has "more upside", LMAO.

You KNOW you've arrived when the Cael haters on the mat, are jumping in! Great news.
WrestlingNerd is struggling with his analysis. Surprised Scribe hasn't chimed in.

Funniest bit today was a Gopher fan who pretends to be above the fray (Headshuck), but always is getting his digs in on Cael and the like over National duals, etc.

Anyway he takes umbrage about a comment made about the Dardanes and why they are still wrestling instead of getting on with the rest of their life. The lesson here - make as much fun of Jimmy Gulibon as possible, but don't dare say anything about the Dardanes boys.

We'll see who is talking smack about Jimmy after he spends this offseason in the weight room with the Gorilla Hulk.

Congrats to Mark Hall and Bo. Regardless of the outcome it's great that these guys test themselves.

Anyone know why Nolf didn't enter? I know he has limited freestyle experience but it would have been some good competition.

That being said this is me talking from the couch and not coming off of a grueling season. So if these guys want to take a break more power to them. Especially Nolf as he deserves it

The Dardanes brothers are part of the ugliest secretary pool ever formed.

Any link to Mark Hall's finals match ?

Final was 5-4 Hall. Won on a scramble off a Valencia shot in the final 30 seconds. Was not DEPENDENT on the Valencia shot, however, as the haters are rambling on about.

So...what does this mean for Hall?
Give him the right to challenge Burroughs?
Gives him the right to enter the Challenge bracket next weekend in Iowa City. Should he win that (not incredibly likely), then he would get a shot at Burroughs in a best 2-out-of-3 series, while Burroughs didn't wrestle a match, yet.

actually thats what I meant/thought

I watched this Hall all 6 years at Apple Valley and he just keeps on improving. Great balance, strength and as we have seen is all most impossible to take down. Guy can make a good shot and he just turns it into his advantage. He could be the next 4 timer and undefeated also. Has to stay healthy.
Also congrats Bo wrestling up a weight and that Steinhouse (sp) is a beast plus his age.

Valencia plans to go 165 as of now.

I don't fault anybody continuing to wrestle. Everybody has a limited number of years that you can compete. If the passion is there then pursue it.

Congrats to Hall. He deserves everything he accomplishes.

That had to hurt.

Thanks much for posting this info Abro1975.

I laugh everyday! It's a good way to go through life. I was laughing at the way the poster asked the question not whether or not Hall is a beast.

Good to hear because you came off like a real dick in your original response when the guy was simply asking a honest (hilarious?) question about what's next for Hall.
