Mark Hall

Marks the man!! Wrestled great with the highlight pin of Lewis in semis.

He’ll come back stronger then ever next year, I’ll never count him out.

Zahid was the better man tonight and earned it. Tip of the cap to him

I said it before but don't mind repeating it- Mark Hall is everything you hope your kid can emulate. Well spoken, driven, and a great team player. Mark has and will continue to win at a staggering clip, so he uses his rare losses as learning opportunities. I love his attitude about life.

For some reason when I read RBY tweets I think of Mark. RBY seems to have the same enthusiasm.

Mark is a true champion in every sense of the word. He is also a great man. This is not an excuse for the loss, but I don't think I have seen a bigger size disparity between two wrestlers in a match other than Heavyweight, maybe ever. That looked like a 197 pounder vs a 165 pounder, literally. Valencia looked like he belonged out there wrestling Haught, not Hall. Again, not an excuse.

Agreed, not sure how Zahid makes 174. Curious if he bumps to 84 to see Bo next year

I think the size disparity seems larger on tv than in person. In person Mark is not a small 174 , his legs are huge and he is a good size which doesn’t come across on the screen. That being said I wonder if Zahid has been making a hard cut just to wrestle Hall again, will be interesting to see if he moves up

Yeah, I feel it's likely Zahid and his brother are both up next year. Zahid vs. Bo is a scary matchup--their most recent freestyle matches weren't close. But: Bo.

Gotta believe Zahid is at 184 next season. It was kind of mind-boggling he was able to make the cut to 174 given how huge he looked.

Mark had an amazing tournament himself, as Cael said. Without Mark, we don't win our 7th in 8 years. He also showed his class by being the first to greet Bo. This is one of the factors that separate us from the Ohio State's of the world, we have true brotherhood on our team, and we walk the walk.

I think that the tOSU guys are pretty tight too, to be fair.

What I came back to say, though: that one scramble (in the 1st?) between Mark and Zahid was one of the greatest exchanges I've ever seen. Chain wrestling on both wrestlers' parts for the ages. I look forward to watching the match again, just to see it.

Zahid wrestled a full weight class above Mark internationally on the world team and the gap between the weights was sizeable. Mark would have a much better shot Friday night while Zahid was still forced to keep weight down.

Marks outstanding display of "Team First" made me think of another young man. Cutch! I have no idea what his future holds but I will wager this guy is going to be a huge success in the game of life. It is so awesome to see him smiling front and center celebrating the accomplishments of his brothers in arms despite tough breaks and injuries derailing his personal aspirations. I know Cael has mentioned how important he is to the team, and his actions make it rather obvious. Some great parenting took place it that young man's life.

For some reason my brain says he plans on some form of medical career, but my brain has made things up in the past so I don’t always believe it!
