Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson ends six-month 'sabbatical' by resigning from job

in a move that was expected from the day it was announced he was taking a six-month “professional development sabbatical,” Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson resigned Friday, the school announced.

In a statement released by the athletic department, university president Wallace Loh said Anderson “led significant initiatives that enhanced the student-athletes’ academic success, personal development and career development.”

A national search for a new athletic director will begin in the “coming weeks,” the school announced.

Former PSU Asst. AD Mark Sherburne is in a similar role at Maryland. Wonder if he will get consideration? Good man. Fester fired him.... because Mark is a good man.
