So a guy with money, but who refrains from being an arrogant dick on social media who constantly posts scurrilous rumors and misogynistic jokes. That’s refreshing.Joe Silvestri*
good dude.
Maybe BNic could learn from his example.

He used to be a good guy. Seems to be trending towards being an acolyte of BNic nowadays.^^^^^
It’s worse than you think. I heard IAChief has re-enlisted and is moving back to Arizona.
They could come up with another short-term Fix?How about it !!! What could be better?
Bordeauxs Notes ... wrestlings version of Cliffs NotesShould not this be a regular service by 82Bordeaux ?
Thanks for posting this. That's awesome for Kem. Perfect situation for him to figure out what he wants to do long-term.Hey, I've got an answer! So I logged in to share. I listened to the 2023 0206 / Ep 410 of Wrestling Changed My Life on a road trip home from a UVA Dual in Feb and loved it so much, I put it through the AI transcriber with hopes to write about / amplify it someday.
Here's the text of that clip:
Michael Kemerer 4:24 Yeah, so it was kind of a process you know, after season ended last year, I didn't really know what my next move was gonna be and back at Iowa I was kinda talking with the coaches and everything and they were like, you know, it's really up to you what you want to do. So I had some places kind of reached out, wanted to see if I was interested in coaching, competing or if I was gonna do something completely different. And so Frank Perrelli reached out to me and was like, What are your thoughts post college and I said, you know, I don't know I just got out, I have a master's degree in finance. I was thinking I might go a nonwrestling role, but I love wrestling. I might want to keep competing. I was coming off a shoulder injury so I didn't know if I want to keep competing and I was like, I might want to coach too, and he was like well, we got all three. We got a great RTC. You can compete here if you want. They have the frog program, the gray shirts that come by the traditional red shirt route. So it was like you know, we'd love to have you come coach those guys and he's like, and we got to contact you know that he has a big healthcare business, name's Tyke(?) Would love to take you on, if you want to be with us in a finance role? So that was pretty pretty entertaining, especially because I didn't know which route I wanted to go. So they kind of like gave a little sampling of all three. So yeah, went out and checked it out and it seemed like the best fit.
Ryan Warner 5:46 That Spartan combat room that's attached is beautiful, isn't it?
Michael Kemerer 5:51 Oh, yeah, it's an awesome facility. It's cool. They have that the front area and the back area there too, is awesome.
Ryan Warner 5:56 Now the company you are working at Joe Sylvester works there. Who's a he's a Chicago guy who wrestled with, with Coach Koll at UNC. He's like an SVP at the company or have you come across him yet?
Michael Kemerer 6:10 I haven't. No.
Ryan Warner 6:12 so it was Aviva Health or where are you at now? Yeah, yeah. He, yeah, he was a national qualifier at UNC when Rob Koll was there and he coaches a really strong program in Chicago. Marmion Academy. And yeah, he works there. I was like, that's interesting. So the owner of that is a big wrestling guy?
Michael Kemerer 6:33 Yeah, he wrestled for Cornell back in the day and he's a big donor has a ton of support. He's helped out a lot of the former Cornell wrestlers and I think wrestlers, even from other programs, but he's, he's got a ton of former Cornell guys working for him. So he's a he's a huge resource for these guys.

I don't think so. He was a business major. Are you maybe thinking of Alex Meyer? He went to med school.Wasn't he considering medical school at one point?
Yeah, the whole interview was kinda blowin my mind. Like dude has been a massive recipient of serendipity--and recognizes & stays humble, which, well, you get what you put out into the universe, right? Thanks for posting this. That's awesome for Kem. I'm not sure why, but he's never been an amazing freestyler. Even when he was smashing guys in folk at 174, he got beat pretty soundly by Tommy Gantt in a HWC all star dual.Kemerer has always seemed like such a good guy, and he might be a very good coach, but after seeing a little bit of the Open videos - as a competitor, I just dont think his body has anything left to give to the sport.
He was playing a Doctor in the funny video of his announcement of him coming back for another year. He was doing Surgery on Murin if I recall. Probably where that idea came fromWasn't he considering medical school at one point?
He borrowed Alex Meyer's white coat for his return announcement video as a joke for how long he has been in school (7 years, a nod to Tommy Boy's Doctor quote)He was playing a Doctor in the funny video of his announcement of him coming back for another year.
