Matt Millen

Oh Great .

At least he broke up with Joe Tessetore during the off-season so they're no longer a couple.

Did everyone think this of Matt when he openly stood up for Joe Pa..

He is a proud Penn Stater.

The first version of "Matt Millen: Football Color Man" was a lot better before he went to the state of Michigan and had his stint with the Detroit Lions while associating with numerous UM people. "Millen 2.0" is more akin to Howard Cosell on steroids.

I remember him being in near tears on ESPN after Joe was fired. The guy is a true and proud Penn Stater. On ESPiN there has been nobody that has stood up for Penn State then him. He was a bad NFL GM. I am sure he would even admit that, but the poor guy will never live that down. It's Detroit. They still suck to this day.

I don't know why he gets so much hate here? Is it because he isn't part of the Ziggy conspiracy brigade?

This wasn't after Joe died, it was after the GJ Presentment. He was in tears crying about all of the rapes that occurred because he was buying the narrative crafted by the leak of the fictitious Grand Jury presentment. He missed the point regarding the old cliche: "A Grand Jury can indict a ham sandwich". Matt is too stupid to think fo himself and he became one of the "sheeple".
He later protected his ESPN job after the facts started to leak out by couching all of his remarks in "Barron Speak". He is a turd who did not have Joe's back at all. If he did, he would have been subject to the same criticism as Franco. Give me a link to Matt receiving criticism similar to Franco's in the SAME TIME FRAME as Franco getting crushed.

Ahh, as I had just posted a guy named NittanyZIGGY posts the Ziegler talking points.

The guy is/was physically strong, but was proven morally weak. He stepped up and lectured people long after the shyt storm had ebbed.

Did you ever tell him to his face? You should have told him.

On behalf of cville,

If I ever get the chance I will factually tell him what I think and I'll have no problem doing so. I'm not some Whitehall apologist who views things through biased glasses. Perhaps you can arrange something.

Matt will either cognizantly grasp the message or continue to live in his fantasy world of self-importance.

Ditto! I would tell him to his face that I think he is a POS in a heartbeat. What is he going to do, assault me? That would pad my 401k nicely.

I'll give him credit, he sure knows how to cry to his audience.

Looks like we have Matt Millen tomorrow in the booth...
He and Rick Santorum are my two most famous classmates from PSU. Neither one has anything worthwhile to say and they will not shut up.

How do people with so little going on in their heads choose careers where one of the first things you have to do is speak coherently about things you know about? It's like Roseanne Barr decided to be a ballerina, or Paris Hilton wanted to be a foreign-affairs expert at a think tank.

Matt is a good guy. Don't get the hate

Shoot, I'm a Detroit Lions fan --- I have an actual reason to hate Matt, but I don't. He's fine, and he ranks somewhere in the middle for me among all announcers.

I didn't know until this thread that Millen is now on the "Nixon enemies list."

He was near tears on air when Joe died. But he doesn't spend every waking minute of life talking about Joe, and he had questions about what happened, so he's dead to everyone here. Same way loons on here fling venom at Lavar and Tali.

I'm actually surprised Ziggy hasn't gone after Devon Still for not using his platform to try to exonerate Joe. Or even worse: exonerate Sandusky. That's how deplorable Ziggy and his followers are.

He was a hell of a Penn State football player and I like Matt Millen as a color analyst, but I'm surprised no one here has ever challenged his role as a Second Mile board member and major donor.

Dem - you should have prospectively saved the Country some grief and serially punched Santorum in the face throughout college.

Fail!

Exactly. He was involved in the 2nd mile Ponzi scheme. Of course you can't say 2nd mile in the press, cause everyone involved with psu was hiding skeletons in that org

Don't knock Millen for his role in TSM; many notables were named to the board. One comes to mind Lou Holtz.

Holtz was an honorary member because he spoke at one function. He didn't even know he was an honorary member. Millen was listed as an "honorary member" also, but is listed in the IRS forms for 2nd mile. Also gave $50,000 in 2010. One didn't know he was associated, the other is listed as the DIRECTOR OF THE SECOND MILE on IRS returns in 2009 and 2010. Don't let the facts affect your mind, since it's already made up.
