Rhule a lot like Franklin took a head coaching position for a program going through issues. Rhule like Franklin have did a wonderful job bringing programs to prominence. There is no debate that Franklin has had a lot more to overcome. That being said, Has Rhule did more with less? Does Baylor have the same type of talent we do? I see many similarities between these coaches.

He coaches in a league that stopped playing defense 12 years ago

CJF has done more IMO - a lot more and with a lot less (starting out). If Rhule were a better recruiter Baylor could hang with Oklahoma - as it stands, he's been in the 30s at Baylor and is somewhere in the 70s with the current class. Not gonna cut it, especially once Texas has a deep and talented roster.

So which team was the more formidable opponent coming into today’s games ...Kansas or Rutgers?

Look at these comparative scoring lines.....

1 2 3 4 T
RUTG 3 0 0 3 6
PSU 7 0 6 14 27

FINAL 1 2 3 4 T
BU 21 13 14 13 61
KS 0 0 6 0 6

Which team just played 5 ranked teams in the last 6 games including the #1 on the road the previous week. Every ranked team Rhule has played, he has lost. I like Rhule, and he may be the better coach, but most of your arguments right now are ridiculous.

I understand your point, but Baylor has never really recruited at an elite level. They are a Baptist school with funny rules and have a 50k seat stadium. They are no better than the 4th most popular team in their own state.

They’re better than 70th. And they can do better than TCU which has similar constraints.

Because drawing conclusions based on a sample size of one is always foolproof. I suppose you think Jeff Brohm is a better coach than Urban Meyer because Purdue whipped OSU last year?
