Max Dean interview - impressive

Definitely more impressive than Suriano's corn rows!

Those were disgusting! And more ridiculous than when David Beckham had corn rows!

I guess he moved to Michigan to try to look like Eminem or something!
I think we was wearing a mustache too

Yup, the corn-rows are a personal choice and have at it, Nick, they may be stylish (I wouldn't know as I'm old).

But the mustache attempt is egregious - if that's the best you can do on your upper lip, you need to forget about it and concentrate on facial hair elsewhere. Old or young - everyone knows that.

This may be posted elsewhere, but it is certainly derserving of its own thread. Very happy for Max and it’s quite the compliment for the program in a very open and honest way.

You guys think Dean returns ? If so, does Beard? Not trying to create drama or panic , just wanted to hear thoughts

I thought I saw an very recent interview with either Cael or Max that said this was his last year.
Am I correct with this???

Naw. If Dean decides to move on I don’t see many people panicking. To be honest, I’m kinda wanting Beard to get his own shot now and I wouldn’t be surprised one bit to see Max hanging around the club and the college team helping to prepare Michael to go get his. I think that would be so cool.

This^^^* I want Michael Beard to get his chance with us next year. I want Beard to beat Mr. Fast Twitch

My Dad made this point to me, long ago when I had a "mustache" like that, by asking, "Why don't you put some milk on your upper lip, and let the cat lick it off?"

We didn't even have a cat.

It's always been my observation that because the individualistic nature of wrestling and the inculcation to never quit, wrestlers are never "happy medium". They are really great individuals or complete sociopaths.

Hence there's a teenage girl out there with orders that if you date a wrestler; he meets Uncle Pitchfork.

It's not only good to follow a team that excels on the mat; but all indications are they are well grounded off the mat.

They all recognized their God given ability and parental/family/team support.

I hope Beard is willing to stay the course with us but obviously I don't fault the kid for doing what he feels is best for him. He has sacrificed so much and has done everything the coaches asked of him. He's already AA'ed once, he very well could have been the second best 197 in the Big Ten and Nation this year since he was right with Max in the wrestle off and got robbed against Schultz in the home dual.

Another possibility is he goes Cassar, and somewhere else. He's a management major and that is a pretty portable degree.

I seem to recall he weighed in at 206 for a dual this year, but ultimately didn't wrestle.

It probably wouldn't be hard for him to be 230-235 by next fall.

Looks like its settled!
But is it? You guys are probably right and he’s going to return next year but maybe he’s been telling Michael all year “you’re helping me get mine so I’ll be here next year to help you get yours.” Maybe he sticks around at the club and becomes a training partner for Michael. That to me would be so freaking cool if that happened.
