that PSU is entering a golden age of sports. The football team seems to be on a roll with recruits. The men's and women's basketball teams seem to be bringing some very good talent. Wrestling is outstanding, and both hockey teams are certainly improving. Fencing is amazing and what can you say about WVB with the MVB not to far behind. WLAX wins the Big 10 and many other sports are also very competitive. To me, it only seems to be getting better. It's always GREAT to be a PSU fan but right now it seems to be even better.

Just a couple of minor additions......softball team looked much better this past Spring.....playing with more enthusiasm and having fun......hate to say it, but women's basketball team seemed just the opposite this past season....less enthusiasm and less fun.

Women's BB has a long way to go. Other than that I agree. Things are looking up.

Sorry - I disagree. The "Golden Age" of Penn State ended officially on January 12, 2012. Find another coach who devotes so much of his life to the university, while winning the right way, and maybe we'll get ourselves a second golden age.

While I am still positive on CJF, some of this game time decision were concerning last year. In addition, many of the team's fundamentals seemed flawed. I understand that the o-line was young but its one thing to miss a block, quite another to have total confusion. (for several games in a row).

Football, at PSU, is the "straw that stirs the drink".

Recruiting has been fantastic. He's a fantastic ambassador for PSU. His game coaching at Vandy was, at the very least, good. So I am optimistic. But if someone asks my true concerns, it is that some of the in-game operations were truly lacking.

I actually heard a golf commentator's philosophy and think it fits all sports. Brad Faxon advised another golfer; "Putt, like you don't give a bleep!" It will free up your mind and take away all of the negative thoughts. Worries about mechanics, etc. We were way too conservative for a program with no expectations. We need to play like we don't give a bleep. If we lose, so be it. We left it all out there. Great coaches like Belichick and even Ol Urbz, Spurrier, etc. Don't give a rat's arse what others think of their in-game decisions. I hope Franklin gets more aggressive in that regards. I don' just mean offense either. Defense can be more aggressive. Now that we have close to 85 players. Don't be afraid to put your top athletes on special teams either.
