Norvell will not be on the sidelines for the Cotton Bowl. His OLine coach, Ryan Silverfield, will act as interim coach.
Relax Bob, take a Xanax, have a latte we’ll be fine! We’re screwed.![]()
Last year there were a bunch of players with one foot out the door and then they played like it. This year, many guys have said they’re coming back and seem ready to get to the next level. This game will be the start of it. I expect the team to be ready.I read another post where PSU was not up to play Kentucky last year and now there is this same concern. This past season I believe this was the case in many games. How can this be? I don't get it . Is this mind set on the coaching staff? Who's responsibility is it to prepare the mind to play the game? This mind set has led us to the land of Cotton.
Curious what (many) games you feel Penn State football players were “not up to play” this season.I read another post where PSU was not up to play Kentucky last year and now there is this same concern. You read it in another post and now you are taking it as fact that this is the case?

I hope so. Memphis is no pushovers and if they approach it that way it will be a repeat of many games this season.Last year there were a bunch of players with one foot out the door and then they played like it. The only game that was not a struggle this year was Maryland and I will throw the spuds in thereBuffalo, Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, and Rutgers
This was reported by a player to another and then their performance supported this mind set.You read it in another post and now you are taking it as fact that this is the case?

You'll probably get votes for Internet Coach of the Year for being so demanding. The only game that was not a struggle this year was Maryland and I will throw the spuds in there
Memphis: Athletic director Laird Veatch says that the current plan is for running backs coach Ryan Silverfield to coach the team in the Cotton Bowl unless Mike Norvell decides he wants to come back for it, and that particular conversation with Norvell will happen at a later date. Put your asshat back on!Buffalo, Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, and Rutgers
If that's the case, then we are a helluva lot further from the playoffs than anyone thinks we are.I hate this matchup. It’s practically a no - win situation for PSU.

Looking around, there is stiff competition. You'll probably get votes for Internet Coach of the Year for being so demanding.
With the early signing date quickly approaching, the question is how many of his coaches will he take with him? Will likely know toute de suite.Memphis: Athletic director Laird Veatch says that the current plan is for running backs coach Ryan Silverfield to coach the team in the Cotton Bowl unless Mike Norvell decides he wants to come back for it, and that particular conversation with Norvell will happen at a later date. it probably is. But that’s been Franklin’s Achilles heel the last several seasons, motivating the team to get up for less than sexy matchups. Here’s a chance to get over that weird hump. (Trying to make lemonade here)
I think they were always here even before Facebook! What is our record over the last several years in “less than sexy matchups”?
It’s like all the dumb Facebook comments have moved over here.

Your quoting yourself now? You and jerkbot should get a room. The only game that was not a struggle this year was Maryland and I will throw the spuds in there
So any game they didn’t play up to your expectations means they weren’t up to play...got it.Buffalo, Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, and Rutgers
Haven’t you realized that with many on this board if something happens once it means all the time in their minds. What is our record over the last several years in “less than sexy matchups”?
