Read that he voted us 20 after beating Ohio State, then 24th after beating Iowa in AP Poll.

How do guys like this keep their votes?

How did you even find out about that? LOL. Maybe he can exclude the Lions entirely in his next ballot. Seems like it is a bit of a good luck charm for PSU.

Guess what? The SOB is a SYRACUSE grad stuck in boondocks Mississippi, not quite an upward career trajectory. He's likely pissed we didn't hire Dan Mullen away from MSU. There's your answer.

That's why the playoff has a comittee and they don't give a rat's ass what the AP vote is. They know all about the small minded losers and the collegiate jealousies that pervade the sports journalism profession, and that way they don't let unprofessional doofuses like this screw up the NC games.

"About: My journey to The Clarion-Ledger began in Millbury, Massachusetts, where I was born and raised. Apparently, there's video evidence that shows me dropping my R's but I lost that habit at Syracuse University. I spent two more years in Central New York with The Citizen, before working in Upstate New York for a year with the Post-Star. I moved west in 2012 to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to work at the Gazette and KCRG-TV. I played catch with my dad at the Field of Dreams and bought a moto-meter from the American Pickers. I've covered Mississippi State since 2013, writing about a College World Series finals, an Orange Bowl and the football program's rise to No. 1."-MICHAEL BONNER

He keeps his job the same way Barry and Bobby and Marshall and the gang keep being allowed to make child like attacks: He knows somebody.

Lafayette- What's up with Cal vs Stanford and UCLA vs USC this weekend instead of Thanksgiving weekend?

Delany did this to ensure that the tOSU-UM game will not be challenged as the biggest game of the day.

When Notre Dame plays at USC it's always the last game for USC. Not sure what year that started but it's been that way for as long as I can remember. Same when Notre Dame plays at Stanford. Nice how Notre Dame manages to never have a home game during Thanksgiving weekend.

To be fair USC-ND traditionally is a bigger rivalry then USC-UCLA.

Any more explanation needed?

There is a little bit more to it. ND didn't attend bowl games from 1925 until 1969 and one of the attractions of the USC game is that they could get a game against a notable opponent in warm weather. USC had a negotiating point, too, they wanted a big intersectional game but didn't want to play in cold weather. So the series evolved into what you see today. The Stanford game simply followed the same path.

Not sure of your criticism - is it that ND doesn't want to play in cold weather on Thanksgiving or what?

That they never play at home on a holiday weekend. Does that really need more explanation?

When someone like this is that far off and is obviously biased he should lose his voting privilege . This is a serious matter and has damaging consequences to any teams involved .
At least the selection committee have a more common sense template, it not perfect, but it's not totally biased or exclusive of any team.

For the record, many (maybe most) Mississippi State fans HATE that guy. They think he should be banned from campus. He's horrible, and the paper (the largest by far in the state) is clearly biased towards our rival school. (I went to MSU for undergrad and Penn State for grad school 1986-88)

Mississippi State just had their two best seasons (2014+2015 wins combined) in school history. How bad does a beat writer have to be for the fans to hate him while the team is winning?

My guess would be, as bad as Davey Jones.
