Miles Sanders

Maybe some Eagles fans and Philly media will get off his back now.
Heard on NFL RedZone his 65 yard sprint was the fastest of any players on Sunday. Almost 21 mph.

I don’t follow the Iggles closely, but it seems they have a bit of a running back conundrum. Sanders is very talented and was their second-round pick. He could but their main guy, but they also like Howard. Is having Sanders and Howard a long-term solution?

He looked really fast on the run, pro bowl running back type of run. He is racking up a lot of yards rushing, receiving and on kick returns.

Yup as noted yesterday, when Sanders went out they were down to 2, Howard and Boston don’t call me Austin like @tommcandrew Scott
You need at least 2 in the NFL

I don't remember him being that fast at PSU, do you guys? Maybe the black shoes?

He looked to me yesterday that they took a little weight off him, his legs looked skinnier and such. Maybe they see howard as their big tough back and miles as more of a sprinter. Regardless of Miles 40 time, I never thought he looked terribly fast or explosive, he did yesterday.

On that 65 yard run, he got a nice lead block from Howard that sprung him to make the run. So yeah, have 2+ RBs is a long term solution. Not sure why teams to use that more then they would keep the defense guessing on who is going to get the ball. Plus, as much as these RBs get beat up over the course of the season, rotating them like this could help them make it thru the season healthy.

Not sure what the long-term solution for the team is, but I think Miles could benefit from this, especially early on in his career. Given the short shelf-life of RBs and considering how young he is, it’s good to see him producing while at the same time not taking the type of beating a guy who pounds the rock 20 times a game takes (Howard had 23 carries yesterday).

The only "conundrum" is of their own making. Sanders is clearly the better back.
