So as some of you know, I’m not just a PSU wrestling fan, but a fan of the sport in general. With conference tournaments kicking off, and nationals right around the corner, I like to browse other forums and see what the latest news, talking points, and predictions are. I find myself over on HR every now and then (it’s like a car wreck, you have to look). Being from PA, I watched all the guys on their roster come up through the ranks ( although they all pretty much started and stayed at the top of those ranks ). I’m still a fan of all the PA Hawks, and wish them nothing but the best. I try not to engage in that forum as I don’t feel it necessary. I like this forum where though we may differ on opinions, we’re all basically on the same page (see what I did there?).
However, while browsing tonight, there was a comparison to Starocci shutting down Ken’s offense like Hall. I found a user that decided, it all depended on the ref (if Starocci does indeed shut him down) and continued Nico (and Mark Hall), were, and I quote, “Master stallers”, when they had someone pressured them, or were not dominating their opponent.
Now apparently I don’t understand the sport, they told me so. But, was it me, or was Nico’s pace one of the highest to ever step on mat? IMO he’s right up there with the likes of Nolf, Taylor, Ruth, Retherford, etc...
