It is stupid shyt like that post that 14 years later still makes dumping on HR (or GIA) so much fun.

If it brings joy to the PSU wrestling fandom it is great. If it also brings anguish to the Iowa wrestling fandom it is even better.

Imagine how much fun it would be now that it almost never happens.

True story…I emailed the author of that article a couple years back to say hello and ask him if he thought his article was aging well. For some reason, he didn’t seem at all happy to hear from me. I guess the humor has long since worn off.

Gold! That guy used to post on TheMat.com too I think. He’s long gone from there like a few others who were stalwart posters back in the day. One guy was almost giddy that the Sandusky blowback would shut down the wrestling program. Because, remember, they just care about the victims

Oh, maybe that’s a codename HR uses for the 34 and growing nat’l champs, 50 NCAA finalists, and 75 AAs at PSU in the Cael era? Yes, I’m sure they will remember Cael’s coaching legacy, along with the rest of the rational wrestling world. 😂

Hey JTS, your mentoring program is working.
I went over to GIA yesterday and was reading their B Truax thread. A couple of knuckleheads were petitioning that Keuter could come in and wrestle 197. Their reasoning was his walk around weight was only 225. Laxhawk chimed in that AJ Ferrari's walk around weight was 220 to 225. I couldn't help myself but reply, " Is that with or without shackles?"
I did get a like from 3 of our guys and 1 of theirs. It probably went over like a fart in church though.

A real underrated part of looking back is that Ohio State has even been a better program since 4 months after it was posted. Or just as good.
