Congrats to the Northampton true freshman wrestler (not far from me
3dgrin.r191677.gif
) Another example of the depth in PA wrestling.

Did anyone notice at the end of the gillman match he waved his hand in a "forget you" motion toward the Iowa bench?? I could be totally misinterpreting what happened there?? It happened fast and I did not have it on DVR to rewind. Am I totally off?? Seeing things?? Or did anyone else notice this weird gesture?

Without a doubt... he gave Iowa coaches the "wave off". No respect at all for Iowa.

He was saying... he didn't respect Iowa wrestling. Moisey recently joined the growing club. Club sign. It's called
come at me NOT to wrestle... and I'll wave you off as a has been.

lol..he obviously said a lot with that one hand gesture

I actually thought maybe for a second he was going to go over and shake brands hand but then he shifts directions back to his own coach when he made that gesture...I would love to know if something was said to him, or what he really was thinking.

My personal feeling. He was saying... Nah... it's not worth shaking Tom Brands hand. He wouldn't give a damn
anyhow. I"ll leap into the waiting arms of Sammy Henson who must have embraced and fatherly kissed his wrestler
three times coming off the mat. Special. Tom Brands.... come on? Kid knew he'd be a piss ant to him. The wave
off... classic. Do you think you'd ever see Sammy Henson's response from Tom Brands? ManMythLegend1... I
can see your wave off already.

I was there and the gesture was because he went over to shake the Iowa coaches hands but they already had turned their back to him and were walking away so he didn't go after them.

Umm ... his brother wrestles for Northampton. He went to Beca.

Why would he chase after them... his coach gave him the gratification he needed.

I think the family lives in Northampton and Zeke opted to go to BECHA private school. I graduated from Northampton in 1980 and we had quite a few kids that went to Bethlehem or Allentown Central Catholic High School.

My bad, I thought I read somewhere he was from Northampton..?

Moisey ran over to shake Brands hand, but Brand had already turned to walk out with Gilman who was hastily making his exit.
Brands didn't see Moisey come over otherwise, he would have shaken his hand. Just bad timing on Moisey and Brands. You guys look way to deep into this stuff to dig up Iowa hate propaganda.

It's not a matter of Iowa hate. Moisey jogged straight from the ref to shake the Iowa coaches hands and they had already turned their backs which Moisey obviously took as a sign of disrespect to him, and it was. That said, lots of coaches do that since very few winning wrestlers actually go over to shake the hands of the opposing coaches after the match.

This

I wasn't even there, but it seemed clear that the Iowa corner must have turned away at that instant.

The Brands boys respect good wrestlers.

Moisey beat Gary Dinmore (PSU frosh) 11-8 at an all-star match as 8th Graders. It was really a great match between young kids.

Have to love young wrestlers like Moisey. Comes out of nowhere and puts himself on the map for the next 3 years. He will not be overlooked now!
