Why is there a shortage of overnight RV parking in University Park? This makes no sense. They are sending RV's out to Grange when they could just park them as they come in other lots used for game day RV parking.

Other than the tandem lot, and the booth, there are no more facilities at the OVR lot than there are anywhere else in the PSUFB parking world.

Anyone should be able to ride up in an RV and pay cash money from Thursday-Saturday.

The reason they would never do this (open up other lots) is because the newly formed HOA that rules the OVR lot would bitch that the others are closer to the stadium.

Srsly, it's not a very welcoming policy. Imagine if we had Bama on the schedule this year. You'd see more Bama fans in the Walmart parking lot than @ Beaver Stadium on Friday night. Why? When you can take their money and point them to a spot in a hay field?

last time Bama was here most of their million dollar Prevosts were stuck in the mud and needed towed/winched out........

The ORV spaces definitely needed to be bigger. The one thing I didn't like about the ORV lot was the parking attendants would save places, allow more room, skip spaces, all for additional cash bribes. The larger parking spots should eliminate most of that and the new system should be better for the Nittany Lion club members not having all of the rentals in the ORV lot

There really is a limited amount of decent space available to ORV's that is flat, with gravel driveways. So maybe it will be better this year for those with ORV passes.

yeah its a joke. we have a stadium literally in the middle of nowhere and they send RVs to a lot 12 miles away. we cancelled and are doing an AirBNB instead.

If spaces are adequate for Saturday AM (Non-reserved), why aren't they good enough Thursday night? One in probably 25 PSU games winds up in a rain quagmire. Why should that stop fans from having fun the other 24 games?

Do you need a certain amount of NLC points to get a spot this year? It seems that would be a good way to stop the companies from moving their rolling hotels in for 3 days.

I've never used Nittany RV. I have had a 36' Airstream staged for us 2 years ago. I consider that the pinnacle of my tailgating life. Are you implying that no one outside the little Good Sam RV club should be allowed to set up shop?

As someone that doesn't own an RV or come to games regularly, I like the idea of the rental RV companies although I've never used one. I always wanted the PSU RV experience and these companies provide that. That said, the one company I know of that advertises on Facebook mentions that their RVs will be at the Grange lot for this season so I'm not sure why it's a concern. Ironically I have little interest in staying at the Grange lot so I immediately lost interest when reading that.

Considering Alabama has limited on campus RV overnight parking that is done on a point system (sound familiar?) they would be used to parking off campus. Secondly why do you feel entitled to park on campus? Overnight parking has never been a free for all and was always limited. For big games it always filled. It just not practical to have RV parked all over especially when some of the lots are used by commuters and staff. Perhaps next year they will expand it. Parking at the grange is not that bad. They have a shuttle to campus and you can park at the Stadium on game day.

I'm also curious if anyone knows how many NLC points are needed? We are discussing getting a motor-home, but just started with season tickets. I have a good friend with around 250 NLC points ... any idea if that would be enough?
