Ms. BWI/McAndrew Bracket Poll Updates and General Discussion...10/19/2021.

Keep being you Man. It's entertaining. You beat that Kiawah Island take of yours ad nauseam, but it was really enjoyable watching it turn into the worst take in the history of golf. That was the most compelling weekend of golf I can ever remember, and the course had something to do with it. How about to each his own? Some of us enjoy Midnighter's polls, some enjoy annoying blowhards, and some enjoy both.
Kiwawah is a 25-35 ranked course (in the US). I just don't like that it was created for the Ryder Cup.

I happen to think that golf courses should actually exist before they are awarded Majors (or the Ryder Cup). Seems PGA of America is always involved. And it always involves TV money.

The most compelling weekend of golf I can remember probably happened in April 1986.

How about to each his own?

I agree with this sentiment. So when someone posts about Freeh bribes which is directly related to PSU we dont need someone whining about it being political and trying to derail the post. Right?

I mean especially if the same person routinely makes political posts themselves.

To each their own.

how about this course which was already awarded a major. Although it is the PGA building it

It's a joke. I assume Hanse is building it. The PGA of America is moving from here (in Palm Beach Gardens) to TX and none of the employees (of which I know many) will go. None. They'll all work remotely. Even Seth Waugh won't leave. And he runs the organization. Connect the dots between Gil Hanse and Seth Waugh. They go back to Boston.

They have a massive build happening there. Employees may not move but then they will be replaced.

Frisco TX is blowing up right now. But at the same time Miami is the new NYC so plenty to go around.

They've been told they don't have to leave. That shows how valuable they are in the first place. Most are long-timers w/ PGA tenure if you will. No one will step on them. There's Ryder Cup and PGA Championship money for everyone!

Meanwhile the organization as a whole is a shit-show. 50 year old golf pros lose their jobs and end up scrubbing clubs. 25 year olds that can't break 80 are teaching members. On and on and on.

I built a huge par 3 green for Seth in Quogue a few years ago. I've known him for 30 years. He's disappointing me. Bigly.

This is the Ms. BWI bracket poll thread right? Amazing how things here go so off track. Any way, my first time in the thread. I'm not going to wade all the way through ten pages. I just hope Heather Graham is going to get a chance to compete.

When I say replaced i dont mean fired. I mean basically replaced in terms of control and power.

Seth has some indirect relationships with my parents who live in Charlottesville. Not exactly sure what they are. He is the CEO type. Always spinning.

He's not the man I knew simply as Palm Beach Banker Seth 25 years ago. Duetsche Bank has a lot to do w/ that of course. He flew from Quogue to Manhattan almost daily via helicopter. His "guy" told me that his bonuses at the end of the year were in excess of $60M. I like Seth, but I wouldn't trust him w/ anything. Especially a wife or a daughter (if I had one). Or an organization like the PGA of America.

Shelia divorced him and now lives on Jupiter Island btw.

Yes. All the senior bankers at DB were paid 8 figures while the bank crumbled.

Great gig if you can get it.

Ironically, he lives in basically a townhouse in Lost Tree right now - probably less than a $1M property. Clancy (his kid who played at Wake) is trying to play professionally, but he doesn't have it. We'll see what happens w/ him.

where the hell do you come up with such imbecilic nonsense?
The replies usually stem from the original comments. You were making fun of me for having the temerity to post that I knew Alice Dye so well. Remember?

I was just on the phone this AM w/ a golf course designer (name withheld) and he asked me about Seminole and talked about the great gathering they had there after she had died. Then he talked about Jupiter and fishing.

@Midnighter2

Dude - if you chose to dump the whole poll process in the toilet, I would not blame you. This thread goes to show the old adage is correct - no good deed goes unpunished.
What a loss to humanity that would be. Let's get this straight right now - if someone IS actually stalking or haunting Midnighter, then I am the last person in the crowd to agree w/ that. It's happened before here obviously - and not just to me.

It seemed like he was targeting me for some reason, and I don't have the will or the energy to stalk or harrass anyone - especially Midnighter. He seems like a decent guy and I think we could have beers together. Like I said - I make fun of his pop culture worship - and like you, his soft porn obsession.

But don't any of you accuse me of doing something I don't do. Not fair.

I can see that. Big house big unnecessary expenses.

She's got nice ones.

I only reply when I'm pointed out - like I was. If I interrupted your tit-fest by defending myself, I apologize. Go back to your boobs.

Taking a break for the moment; mostly because I like coming to the board to do these polls, discuss other OT interests of mine (travel, food, movies, pop culture, etc.), and chat football. It gets less 'fun' when I see thread after thread that is some subversive proxy to discuss politics (thread about web browsers, thread about Fox News host for the week, thread about Freeh, thread about Fielding Yost, etc.). I also don't appreciate being stalked and harassed by posters I have put on ignore (I know this because if that person is the last post in a thread, it will show in my feed instead of being 'ignored'). So, hope to get back at it soon. We'll see.
If you are referring to a thread I started about Lawrence Jones I thought it was on the test board. If I put it here it was accidental and I apologize as I try to avoid politics here unless someone else posts something that deserves a response.

I don't think you "stalked" or "harassed" him in that thread. I can only assume someone is contacting him outside the forum - for such strong words to be used. That is a bad mistake on whoevers part. Don't do that.

Don’t know who you are referring to. I responded to your comment about a thread on a Fox News host for a week. Which I started one on L Jones Monday night. Ever stalked or harassed anyone.

Edit: it was midnighter that you referenced. Nope, he and I are good.....I hope.

Hopefully he'll deal with his issues in a professional and mature manner. It's not my problem, nor is it yours.

Cripes! I had to go six (6) pages deep to find the Ms. BWI thread. That ain't right. Midnighter, for the love of God, bro, please get this thing back up and running. You deserve tons of props for the work you've done to date, but we need to finish, as it were. Right, Bob?

BTW, has there been a Ms. BWI pairing with either Anna Faris or Elisha Cuthbert in it? How about pairing them head to head?

Ms. BWI Bracket Poll Update for 8/22/2021...

Two most recent matches have ended; moving on were...

Tsukasa Aoi over Jessa Rhodes - 171-125
Heather Graham over Rose McGowan - 220-72

🚨 McAndrew Board Input Requested 🚨

There are only two matches left in Bracket Poll IV - which is the final 32 woman bracket that makes up our 128 woman tournament (and once finished, we'll start working our way through beginning where we started). I have a few candidates in mind for the final two spots, but am asking the board if they would like to see those matches used as two more 'play in' opportunities for previously eliminated participants. So, someone like Michelle Pfieffer, Phoebe Cates, Elizabeth Hurley, Margot Robbie, Kate Upton, or Susanna Hoffs (or any of the previously eliminated participants) would get another shot. Or, we could leave them open for new players, and my short list for those slots include Elisha Cuthbert, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Nicole Eggert, Christina Applegate, Christy Turlington, Helen Mirren, Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Munn, Kylie Minogue, Alicia Silverstone, and Kate Winslet (or, if you have any other suggestions at all, throw them out here). Though I like throwing in really beautiful, less known women, that doesn't appeal much to the board (the reactions to Tsukasa Aoi were pretty funny), so I'm trying to stick with more well known, established players.

Let me know what you'd like to do and if you have votes or preferences for any of the women mentioned, please say so. Finding good pictures for 'older' celebs is pretty difficult, which is why I went heavy on the newer faces in more recent polls. I'll see what kind of responses I get and by the end of the week will have the final two match-ups.

Thanks for playing!
