I agree merely on the basis of Penn State owning this instate rivalry... as in forever. The Owls performed on the field very much unlike teams in the past. Almost upset Notre Dame last season which makes me sick to have to compare Temple to Notre Dame. Temple returns it's dynamic quarterback and running back. Penn State newly installed offense hopefully will be clicking early as it's the 3rd game of the season leading into the next huge away game versus Michigan. A loss would be a big downer versus your former in-state door mat... going into a huge away test versus Michigan who is competing with Ohio State this coming year for Big Ten supremacy.
We'll see who the men are and came in as pretenders and not contenders after these two games.
I'd like to be pleasantly surprised and see Penn State be dynamic... have this be a huge break out game for Saquan Barkley and have his presence open up a dual threat passing game in the read option offense that will open up running lanes, while using a precision passing attack with sure-handed DaeSean Hamilton in the slot and Chris Godwin and Saeed Backnall down the field and hopefully in the middle of the field with a quick precision passing game exhibited by Penn State and Trace McSorley in the Blue/White game. It would be a change of fortune to put pressure on Temple's defense, like Temple did last year on Penn State. Flipping the table on Temple would allow them to know... which football cleat they reside under when it comes to this instate game. Same for SPITT... I mean little beat up brother aka SPITT.... as in under the other cleat.
