How does the team respond to adversity ? We've been tested 2X thus far in 2017.
At Iowa City we were stellar in the final two minutes. In Columbus, all units - offense
defense & special teams - collapsed under the pressure of adversity. We are going to
face more of it tomorrow. Too many factors conspire to not make it so: second consecutive
week in a tough road environment, the physical/emotional expenditure of the past two weeks,
yet another physical opponent, the impact of our injuries - especially on the LOS, fatigue
that we saw in spades during Q4 at the Shoe, and the dreaded Noon start time. I think the adversity will take shape in the form of a "sleep walking" first half and we find ourselves entering the
third quarter down by 14. It will take a resilient second half to keep our great season alive.
