He is now the two-time Defensive Player of the Year and has a reasonable contract. They are looking for a first-round pick and are hoping to get into the 8, 9 or 10 slot (NO, Chicago, 49ers). 12 and 13 might work as well. Cowboys with Parsons would be fun to watch. Miami, 13, with their offensive talent too.

I see the steelers are looking to trade TJ as well.

Find that hard to believe--Watt would never request a trade and he's the only guy the Steelers could move that would make people angry
I did see a lot of "The Luka-Davis deal was like" trading Watt and a first for Burrow/Josh Allen.

Watt is on the last year of his contract and he's 30 years old. His value will never be higher than it is right now. Unless Pitt figures out what they are going to do at QB. Moreover, unless they can find a legit QB to get them deep into the playoffs, they need to start over. They'll figure this out now, or next season.

When you look at the QBs who can take teams deep, you get a short list of Mahomes, Lamar, Allen, Burrow (all i the AFC and two in the central) and maybe Hurtz (but he's gotta have Saqun). I don't see a QB like that available. Perhaps Aaron Rodgers but that is quite a leap of faith.

So if their goal is to win a SB, it is time to move on from veteran defensive players.

I hope Abdul Carter likes Cleveland
they want/need a QB. Word was that they like Milrose but he was terrible at the senior bowl. they now are liking Jaxon Dart but feel they can get him, or similar, later. So they may trade down.

There needs to be a new HC. Its time, it may be beyond time, but it needs to get done.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea. Saying it's not how the Steelers do think. Just like the Pens needed to move on from their vets and didn't.

With the revolving door way of free agency, a team drafts a player, spends X# of $$$$ to develop him, have him for a few years, then see him pick up and leave for "greener pastures". I can see the day when pro drafts simply become obsolete.

They should stop fighting the team's move to Brook Park. Great things happened the last time they left Cleveland.

Browns or Steelers? I agree if it is the Steelers. Browns have the two time coach of the year and he won with a box of cracker jacks and a bag of balls.
Two-time coach of the year that has never won a division title and has an overall record 40-44 and only two trips to the playoffs in 5-years. I guess expectations are so low that if you have a winning record in Cleveland, they give you an award.

Agreed. The Browns have been a complete hot mess. in '23, the browns made the playoffs, beat the Steelers, with their fifth team QB in Joe Flacco. I mean, that is amazing. He deserved it. A few years earlier he took a really rag tag team with Baker Mayfield at QB and took them to the playoffs. Coaches aren't miracle workers and have to work within the confines of the GM and Player personnel director. Last year, the player was on board but couldn't play due to suspensions and disciplinary reasons (Watson) and this year played but got hurt. He sucked. he was a shell of what he previously was. Lots of fans boycotted the games. But when the owner pays $250m for the guy, the coach has to play him.

Not his fault.

They should give an award for a 500 season. The Browns front office is awful. No one has less to show for their 1st round picks from the last 5-6 years. They spent most of those picks on QB and what do they have to show for such a huge expenditure? Nothing.

well, for the most part, I agree. But they've put together some very good players. Players that made the probowl in the last two years include Garret (2 time DPOY). Joel Bitonio, Amari Cooper, Njoku, JO-K, Wyatt Teller, Danzel Ward, and Jerry Juedy. They also lost, via a cheap shot, the second-best RB in the league last year in Nick Chubb.

So here's the deal. They signed Watson but he couldn't play for two years so nobody else wanted to be QB either. They knew Watson was going to play when he could. So he finally plays and he isn't any good despite playing $250m. No owners is going to allow him to sit. So he played...until he got hurt. Going into this year, they also made another big mistake. They had three OTs that were dinged up but expected to start the season. But they kept getting reinjured. Browns didn't get anyone to replace them. They finally started and then the two best LTs got seriously hurt. The backup RT got hurt too. But a few games in, Joel Bitonio got healthy. But it was too late. At that same time, they lost their starting Center. Then Watson got hurt and was done for the season. Chubb finally came back but it was too late as well. So he played a couple of games and got reinjured again. It was a complete mess and now you have what you have.

Both Pitt and CLE has no clue what to do at QB and until that is resolved, the teams aren't going anywhere.

The Steelers may have hit a rough patch, but you cannot compare the Browns and Steelers

1. The Steelers have won how many Super Bowls? The Browns have never been in one, let alone won it.
2. Since 2000, the Browns have the worst won-loss record in the NFL
3. The Browns haven't had a 1st round pick in 3 years

If Garrett wants to play in a SB, there are about 30 better places for that.

In northern Ohio there is a saying. At least we have the Buckeyes.

Does Garret have right of refusal? He wants to play and win a SB. The odds of that happening with those teams is pretty slim.

Browns trade him for a later pick in the first round and add in a couple other… 2nd or 4rd. 🤷🏻‍♀️Maybe both this year and next years pick.

Would be wise for them to do so as they traded away about ten years of draft picks to get Watson. They need to build up picks or they will have to pay biggly in free agencies just go stay competitive.

This way Browns get good value for a top player, build/save the future, and Garrett gets his shot at a ring.

They'll probably ship him somewhere like Detroit for a late first and maybe a future 2nd or 3rd. Going to be tough to get a mid first but crazier things have happened
