See the link. Another story that does wonders for the perception of pro athletes.

From the article:

"Smith let America know of his struggle, as reported by David Whitley of the Orlando Sentinel (via the Detroit Free Press). "At the end of the day, you know, I do have a family," he said. "So it is going to be a little harder on me this year. But I'm going to push through it, you know. ... I made a decision for me and my family.""

Just read that one of the major banks is offering a course on "how to by Art" targeted to the top one percent. I think I'll sign up for this one ;-)

Hey, but it is America and everyone is free to choose to be rich or poor.

It will be hard on his agent and his posse too........

"J-Smoove" as he is called, skipped college, transferred once or twice in high school (ended up at a basketball factory, played with Rajon Rondo, didn't lose a game). Definitely not a Rhodes Scholar, but has 3 kids to the same woman and is married to her as well (gasp!).

The problem is that many of these guys are too generous. Aunt needs this, 2nd cousin needs that, wife's mother, Pastor, etc. Everyone has a hand out and many of these kids can't say "No".

I can't recall a name but there was a football player (he might have went to Pitt) went on to the NFL and made good coin but somewhere in the story I recall he tithed something like $100K+ per year to his church.

With generosity like that, it will go quickly.
