NCAA EXCEL BRACKET

that's some awesome nested "IF THEN" statements. Good work!

Compliments of our friends over at the Guillotine. Someone had posted this last year and I absolutely loved it! So I'll just post the link here in case anyone else wants to run through it like me. Also, read the instructions, download it or save a copy. Cheers!

I just filled mine out, ended with:

Penn State 147
OSU 99
tOSU 90
Iowa 84

I thought I was fairly good towards Okie State and they were just one point shy of LP’s statement. I had PSU’s top seven all top three, but only two champs. You can probably guess the two...I’m guessing. So could be more on the team points, could be less. I thought I stayed pretty middle of the road and gave the higher seeds benefit of the doubt generally.

Ran it twice:
1 Penn State 147.0
2 Ohio State 99.0
3 Oklahoma State 88.5
4 Iowa 71.0
5 Minnesota 60.5
6 Michigan 56.5
7 Missouri 46.5
8 Cornell 44.5
9 Nebraska 40.0
10 Rutgers 40.0
11 Northwestern 37.5
12 Princeton 36.5
13 Arizona State 34.0
14 Virginia Tech 33.0
15 Oregon State 31.0
16 Northern Iowa 30.5
17 Lehigh 29.5
18 North Carolina State 29.5
19 Wisconsin 25.5
20 Pittsburgh 23.0
21 Lock Haven 22.5
22 Iowa State 20.5
23 Illinois 19.0
24 North Carolina 19.0
25 Virginia 19.0

AND:
1 Penn State 146.5
2 Ohio State 99.0
3 Minnesota 93.0
4 Oklahoma State 84.0
5 Iowa 65.0
6 Michigan 62.5
7 Missouri 45.5
8 Cornell 44.5
9 Nebraska 40.0
10 Rutgers 39.0
11 Northwestern 37.5
12 Arizona State 34.0
13 Princeton 33.0
14 Virginia Tech 33.0
15 Oregon State 31.0
16 North Carolina State 29.5
17 Northern Iowa 28.0
18 Wisconsin 25.5
19 Lehigh 25.0
20 Lock Haven 22.5
21 Iowa State 20.5
22 North Carolina 19.0
23 Virginia 19.0
24 Pittsburgh 18.5
25 Illinois 18.0

I'm only through 174 and PSU already has almost a 30 point lead. I think they have a real chance to win this thing, guys. ;)

This is what I came up with.
RBY: R12
Lee: 3rd
Berge: R12
Nolf: 1st
Joseph: 1st
Hall: 2nd

2 Ohio State 106.5
3 Oklahoma State 94.0
4 Iowa 75.0
5 Michigan 69.5
6 Minnesota 65.0
7 Cornell 57.0
8 Missouri 49.5

With all these big wins what session can we expect to lock up the win? Will it be Friday night during the semi's or will we need wrestle backs on Sat morning to take place?

Brain Trust (notably @andegre )

I was thinking of filling in one of these based purely on wrestestat projection (bonus included)--but is that already somewhere on the wrestlestat site? Happy to put in the leg work if not--but I couldn't find it.

36 Bonus Points!! Love the optimism :)...my number's closer to mid 20's.

Interesting that WrestleState quick compare has Shak beating Myles 11-4. Almost a major

Hey @andegre (sorry for tagging you twice in one day on what must be a busy time for you)--but it seems a weird coincidence that every bout I've checked on for Shakur is predicting an 11-4 win for him today. Zavatsky, Geer, Ness, Myles. Is something up with his page that is causing a false prediction? Weirdly, I just put in "Shakur Rasheed vs Bo Nickal" and it shows a 10-6 win for Shak.

i've done one for about 6 years...mine is here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xz803lfupzk229p/2019ncaaChampionshipsV2.xlsx?dl=0

Changed the scoring so all you have to do is put the result next to the winner (D, M, T, F) and the points score out. Also has a wrestling/team prediction page out to seeds, doesn't include bonus.

I saw this person's last year after the fact and looked really similar to mine...dont know how long they've been doing it.

In playing around with the bracket IF RBY and Berge could find a way to get to 5th I think we break the 170 point ceiling. Wouldn't that explode the heads over on HR.

Looks like Gunning is out at 285, and new brackets are out--though the gsheet above has not been updated yet.

Aven has a losing record but beat Stoll in Big Tens.

I remember watching the 9th place match in Minneapolis ... Aven, Redshirt SR, seemed devastated that he lost to MParris 8-6, and missed his shot at NCAAs .... was inconsolable, walking off the mat.

Now he gets a reprieve.
