Permitting college athletes and recruits to “utilize the services of agents when pursuing professional opportunities without jeopardizing their intercollegiate eligibility,” Does this mean we can get Curtis Enis back?

No NLI will certainly confuse things.
The article was lite on specifics - understandable since its in draft stage. Not sure what the end game is with these changes. Seems like less and less control. Will athletes be able to sign multiple grant in aids and then decide which one they want to finally accept?

If 5 years then why not 6? Or 7? Or 8? Seriously. Someone could make playing college football their professional career, especially if they're not good enough for the NFL, as most aren't

And why must these guys be students? Is there any rationale for why it is still necessary?

Maybe because the majority of players on any team won't go pro in the sport he/she plays. I would say most of the student athletes still value getting the college education on top of athletics...especially a free education.

What until venture capitalists get behind athletic departments… NFL owners approved no more than 10% in their ownership groups.
