Dinner is taking longer than expected, so I'm not sure if I'll be back for the start of the session.

Blood round -- there will be pain and blood; let's hope PSU comes out of this session in great shape.

I'll count on you guys to get it started.

Easiest way to follow mats for our guys is the by following Pat on twitter. The twitter handle is @pennstateWREST I'll try to keep up with what I can. Enjoy your dinner Tom. It's well deserved treat after all the handwork you have put in the last couple of days following the tournament.
 
I'll tell you what... I'm a fairly new convert to wrestling (6-7 years or so) but it has moved up to my #2 favorite sport to watch. You know you're a fan when you can watch matches that have teams you don't support but just enjoy the game. The fact our boys are dominant makes it all that much better, but the sport is absolutely fascinating to me

Pretty cool to see Sportscenter covering wrestling right now. The sky is the limit for our sport!

Wait, what? Did I miss dinner?
 
How precisely did this official not call a Stall on Terao in the 1st Period??? How can the official allow him to wrestle the edge like that for the entire period, go OB 3 times to avoid a TD, zero shots and zero stall calls??? Complete bull$hit officiating in a Mega match yet again - talk about "average officiating"!

Nico vs Terao (American)

2nd period
Nico up 2-1.
Stalemate at 1:23. Nico out in a few sec after restart, 3-1. Nico in on the right leg, Terao scrambling, and Nico gets the TD at 48 sec, 5-1. Nico working on left side (as is the norm). RT now in Nico's advantage. End. 10 sec of RT for Nico

3rd period
Terao takes down. Nico on the left and working the arm. Terao is flat, and RT is growing for Nico. Stall warning on Nico at 1:16. RT at 55 sec. Rt now over 1 min. Terao to his base, and out at 53 sec, 5-2. Nico in and gets a TD at 12 sec, 7-2. End. With RT, it's a 8-2 win for Nico, and on to the finals
 
Tomasello and Gilman in SV. Gilman in on a shot, gets the TD and pinned Tomasello in SV. Wow.

It will be Nico vs. Gilman in the finals.
 
Wow, that was a complete BS and homer "pin call" in the Gilman match - Gilman was clearly going to win, but utter bullshit that NaTo was actually pinned and you could see the official called it because the clock was going to expire??? That was a complete bull$hit Iowa homer call - watch the replay, NaTo is not even close to being flat and that was not even close to being a pin!! Absurd call to "gift" team bonus points to Iowa!

Exactly. His second shoulder blade was nowhere near the mat. I mean Gilman wins either way, but a pin...well, that truly was average officiating.

Did it not look like NaTo's shoulder was nowhere near to being down? Obviously, no impact on the outcome but matters in the team race.

Dominating win by Nico over an awkward guy to wrestle.
 
That was not even close to a pin. He may have eventually got it but the ref jumped the gun by a mile.
 
OSU is cooked. was it me or did anyone else feel that gillman had the MO going into OT?

If it's sudden victory, why didn't they stop the bout as soon as Gilman got the TD?
