2nd as a sophomore.
Off by a year.
As a freshman, he placed 6th at B1Gs, but made it to NCAAs. He lost in R2, and then his first consolation match, and thus went 1-2 at Nationals and did not place.
As a soph, he made it to the finals, where he lost to Brent Metcalf in the finals, 14-8, and thus placed 2nd.
As a junior, he placed 2nd at B1Gs (losing to Metcalf in the finals), and then went 0-2 at NCAAs.
The number is 12.5. Ok state has a maximum possible 7 matches, and out of those seven, they would need 5 pins, one tech fall, and one major...to TIE, THAT IS.
Provided that Jordan loses to Richards, which is possible, and then to Montoya, which is far less possible, but also possible.

The absolute most Virginia Tech can score is 120.5.
Magic number relative to Hokies elimination is 7.
Not sure where you get 12.5, but it is 7 or 6.5

And McIntosh. He's paid his dues to get here. Previous years he has had injuries that have impacted his wrestling.
Smack's opponent Sat night, Cox, has a winning record against him, with a considerable point advantage.
