CKLV - Dec 6 & 7, 2024

Must be weight cut, mental or injury issues. I remember there were rumors of him leaving VT over the summer so I wonder if that is at all a factor. Long season though I think he can turn it around
Well..he just got majored by another unranked guy and out of tourney. He’s not injured, just looks like he don’t want to be out there.

I’d be shocked if he makes it thru the season no less turn it around. Something going on upstairs and it’s not good

I remember hr idiots stating they would love to have him last year lol.

Had to cancel the trip. Was thinking of going to playoff football game but we shall see. My Ok St fan nephew is there. He'll be the guy in a cowboy ball cap with a drink lol!
Bummer, I was hoping to catch up with you again. There’s always the US Open in spring.

I had seats beside the ACC announcers for T.J.’s November match against Hawks of Mizzou . VT had a great crowd that night and T.J. came to the raised mat with a ton of energy and proceeded to put forth what can only be called a deplorable performance (2-8). The ACC announcers (not the A team with Rock Harrison) mentioned that he may be dealing with a tendon injury. He was completely overpowered every time he got in a tie up. After the first period he just stayed in reverse. He’s a very popular wrestler in Blacksburg, but, even the most ardent VT fan had to look away.

Let's count the jock-riding journalists that are going to lament this as a "missed opportunity" to see him wrestle, despite the fact he:
  • Got kicked out of multiple programs dating back to HS
  • Almost killed multiple people driving recklessly
  • Was accused of sexual assault
  • Was part of an entourage that intimidated his victim
  • After ALL of the above, was turned away at another program for violating their standard of conduct
I can count at least two journalists to get us started.

It's friggin disgusting. But I guess being a sexual predator isn't a character flaw these days.

And don't give me that BS victim blaming and he wasn't convicted. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck,...
The funniest part of all this is the fact that you could never actually confuse CP for a journalist. Just because somebody posts news/content about a sport doesn't mean they're one.

So many injury defaults in this tournament. Anyone see what happened to Feldman? Also Joey Blaze, Trey Munoz, Andy Smith, Evan Bockman, MJ Gaitan, Trevor Chumbley, Rafael Hipolito, Cael Happel, Cory Land, and Vincent Robinson. That’s a lot of really good guys medical forfeiting out

Feldman was on the verge of being pinned. Not sure of the exact injury.

I was watching match when it happened. Hendrickson took him to his back and Feldman immediately yelled in pain. So much so, Hendrickson backed off and had concern.

Looked like a rib injury.

I was looking forward to the Robinson/Ramos match and it appeared Robinson had MFF out? Did anyone see match prior? Did he get hurt in a win?

Comments from the tOSU board about Sasso:

Sammy is incredible, but I do think that his career is over. I don’t think he’s getting anywhere near the podium. I don’t think he’s finishing the season. This is where he is. The injury is incredibly unfortunate. It robbed him of a shot at a championship. That really sucks. I hope that lowlife gets the book thrown at him. Is Hepner still an option?

My concern as well for Sammy was getting bullied; which Wilson did at the end. I imagine he lost part of his intestines which wouldn't lend itself to dehydration and possibly stressful eating habits. He still has a bag of tricks and he if can adapt his game a little more for strength and instead of standing straight up, coerce his opponents into wrestling from the mat while still maintaining reaction time; he could AA. He can't afford to stance straight up against horsepower.

I watched the Barraclough v Sasso match. Sammy was right in it for the first two periods; made what I consider a mistake when he switched his grips and Barraclough scored. Got ridden last period. Also, wrestling multiple matches back-to-back takes a different kind of conditioning than duals. Some problems to solve for sure. Have to think like an engineer and outside the box a bit.

Yeah Robinson hurt his right knee with about a minute left in the match. He got a clean takedown but then kind of shook his leg out on a top and once they came back neutral you could really tell something happened. Nothing I could see when it happened but it immediately started bothering him. Hopefully nothing serious. Kid is fun to watch

OkSt - dominating (Iowa needs to worry)

Neb - semis aren't their thing

tOSU - historic class of 2022 still meh.
The Buckeye fans were predicting Feldman would - yup - close the gap on Hendrickson the way he had on Kerk.

Hopefully Feldman heals up enough so Kerk can once again establish his dominance over him.
