Nebraska student announcers have greatly improved. They are knowledgeable

and educational in their match against NC State. Fairly neutral in their descriptions and great analogies. They described a long scramble as being like two towels in a dryer. Still, I miss the guys from a few years back, or is that fist to the back?

this was brought up several months ago and someone on this forum posted the video link. The match has a plethora of incorrect and highly amusing statements. Amusing as the degree of incorrectness. I think, listening just to Ruth's match would sum it up!

Which dual was it this year when the guy kept referring to a "pinfall"? You think somebody involved in the btn production would get to the kid and say, "Pin and Fall mean the same thing. Use on or the other but stop using both at once it sounds absurd....".

my favorite from that Nebraska meet was when (after starting in the top position at the whistle... the announcer would say (after he seemingly forgot that he started in the top position 15 seconds prior) that "he has the takedown but they're not going to give it to him...."?!?!!!?!?! priceless

LOL - Hilarious announcing.

Comes across like a SNL satire skit, about an announcer who is totally clueless about the sport, but who is still very gabby.

"Fist in the back" and this announcer helped to set the standard for student announcers.
