New non-football season ticket policy.

How does one now let somebody else use a season ticket if they can't make a game? An ill considered move that will lower attendance and piss off season ticket holders. I can't make every wrestling match from Pittsburgh, so now I have to let my tickets be unused instead of letting someone else have access.
"Can I still manage my season tickets on my season ticket card?
Yes, you still have the ability to transfer or post your tickets for sale via your Penn State Account Manager. Step-by-step instructions can be found at www.GoPSUsports.com/ticketmanagement. If you need assistance, please call 1-800-NITTANY between the hours of 8a.m. – 5p.m., Monday through Friday."

Doesn't seem like this will be an issue.

Basically allows them to control resale of tickets... which is the way we are moving for most sports and events tickets.

Not much of a choice with the fraud/counterfeit problem. The transfer is easy, provided the other person has a Ticketmaster/PSU account....which is easy anyway. I used it for hockey and wrestling last year.

You are welcome to manage/transfer your tickets via your account manager if you would like to have someone else use them by simply sending them to their email. You may also print whichever tickets you would like at the box office at any time. Additionally, you may call and set your tickets to be held at will-call for an individual. This process is an attempt to make this more convenient for you. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Best Wishes,

Don't you realize? It's all to make things more easy and convenient for YOU!
Yep, it is a policy similar that of pharmaceutical companies insuring that they make every decision they have to make by considering the interests of the patients as their highest priority. TIC

PSU is actually behind the times in going towards all-digital ticketing. Be happy it took this long
