To be "clearly DPI" the ball has to be clearly catchable. To me, it wasn't since it was thrown several yards out of the end zone. At this point, it's moot.

It is great to see a team carry out a well conceived game plan prepared by a good coaching staff.

BTW, I am referring to Army.

It helps when you have a bunch of high character kids who think team first. No posing or strutting after making a tackle you should be expected to make. No time wasted in useless demonstrations of ego. They just get the next play call, confirm their assignments and get ready to play.

We once had a coach who said to his players, “Act like you have done it before.” I wish players were taught that now. Too bad in the age of the participation trophy kids demand praise for doing what is expected of them.

Nothing they have done today indicates they are the better team. They have struggled. They would be down 14-3 possibly if not for a gifted DPI.

They may come out and roll heads in the second half, but Army won the first half. Don't forget, they had fumble issues as well. Still winning.
