Nick Lee

I’ve seen Nick wrestle since grade school. I think 5th is about as well as he could have expected. Looked slightly underpowered and needs to work on scrambling to take the next step to the top of the stand....all in all great job.

There's only one Zain Retherford; I don't know that I've ever seen anyone totally dominate, discourage and hurt their opponents from the top position and don't know that we're going to see it again. It's truly an amazing skill or art or whatever. That said, Nick Lee has that same streak in him and with a summer in the weight room and another year in the wrestling room, he'll become more dominant on top, not to mention his normal progression from neutral or the bottom. I also think Lee probably wrestles next year and think he's a near lock for a top 4 finish (if not a finalist). To my eyes he's still a smallish 141 and barring a growth spurt, I think that's where he stays, at least for another year and a redshirt season. Let's hope Zain hangs around and continues to teach Nick some tricks.

Nick must transform his body into a man by hitting the weight really HARD. He has the skill set to hang with Yani but needs to get a lot stronger !Cassar and Rasheed are back and forth in the room. If Rasheed hits the weights he will be great at 197.

Remember how skinny Zain was his freshman season? I doubt Nick gets the benefit of a redshirt next season but very real possibility he gets stronger. Great season Nick. Looking forward to 3 more seasons.

Yep. Nick was money this weekend

Shak, NN and keener too

Total team effort

NICK MUST HIT THE WEIGHTS HARD !!!!

WIHICH NICK, LEE OR NEVILLS ????

I hope they RS him next year.
They are going to have 3 freshmen wrestling in the first 4 weights. I doubt Nick takes a redshirt. Unless Teasdale or RBY grows enough to be a 141 pounder next year I don't have any idea who they would put in there.

Still enjoying the moment. Nick’s run is among my favorite stories of the tournament. I know this thread is about Nick Lee, but it’s not just about him. He has a piece of every guy he works with in the room, including the likes of Zain Retherford. Great start to his career, and I wish him all the best for the following years.

RS them all and seek at least two transfers. They will score enough 149-285 to win it again. Build it for 2020. They’ve proven you can do it with holes at the lower weights. None of those pups are SLee or YD.

Let’s bump this.

Take away Nick Lee’s 11.5 points and PSU finishes 2nd in team race.

He coulda been a 1-2, 0.5 point finisher.

Instead he’s a CHAMPION.

On that note. Time to bust more balls. 2nd place dingleberry award (ghostk is the champ) goes to:

Have to say that Lee’s freshman campaign has to viewed as a major disappointment.

Is that the same as none of those pups are IMAR?
