Football Nick Singleton / Kaytron Allen both set to return for 2025

Perhaps you two are different personalities manifesting from the same person. 🤔
Or people just don't like that I'm not blindly biased towards Penn State
I don't hate the Big Ten and I want all of players to make decisions that help them
Many here just want football to be "like when Joe coached", hate change and pretend to care about our players but only when they do what they want them to do

Aside from the injury. I think Allar's size and arm talent is a known-commodity to any NFL team paying attention. If he merely game-managed us to a natty I'm sure he'd still be the top QB taken next year.
Did McCarthy go 1?
Next year's class is WAY better. Beck is coming back to play at Miami which, like Ward, will help him.

We will have one of the best if not the best running games in the country with our O-Line.

AK needs to re-tool the offense to feature the WRs much more with Warren not in the picture. Maybe there is still another high end portal WR out there but probably not. Warren had 100 catches. Not sure about Dinkins and Reynolds. My guess is there are about 50-60 receptions less for the TE room next season and 50-60 receptions more for the WR room next season vs this past season.
Dinkins and Reynolds are good. Obviously replacing Warren is an awful large task. Hopefully both get on the field together, a lot.

But some WRs better step up, cause they didn't this year. If Evans, Clifford, and Wallace are starting again I don't think that is a good sign.

Obviously losing Carter is a major blow but Vanover looked pretty good in that spot, at least effective. Much of team looks intact. Wheatley is a stud now so secondary should remain strong. Our schedule is a joke. Ducks lose everyone and come to Beav. We play at Iowa and at OSU. We should be right back in top 4 of CFP next year.
Unfortunately, Vanover is out of eligibility. We have to hope that Granville and Harvey will be ready to be difference makers next season. I am also certainly rooting for White, but bc of the injury, I think he will have more of an impact in '26. After another year of recovery and working with Losey and his team, he will hopefully get back that elite first step quickness that made him such a coveted prospect. The Ducks lose everyone? Have you seen who they have acquired in the portal.?

Again, please stop hoping and start understanding: We don't have any receivers on this roster capable of leading this team to important wins which are necessary to win a national championship. Know this: If the current wr coach is retained, and at least two portal receivers better than the two BACKUPS currently coming in, are not paid for, we are not advancing any further next year than this year.

With that said, these developments put us in great shape to return to the CFP next season.

But it ain't going further than the semis unless James mans the f up and fired you know who.

Nick seemed especially devastated after the loss. It was hard to get a read on him. I saw in one article that he left the locker room upset and Franklin told him to go back in. People may think NIL/transfer portal, etc. has made the game a bunch of mercenaries who only care about money. Not this team - you could tell they really liked playing with one another. Glad to see he'll be back.

To my eye Nick was playing at a higher level of effort that we had not seen this year. Same with Kaytron. I could see how coming up just short would have been hard on both of them. Might be even harder on Drew.

The line really came together, so that helps.

Having both of them split carries takes away the punishment a single featured back takes.

What I can't figure is how you could have guys like Nick and Kaytron giving it their all, then watch the defense come out after the half and all of them look like they are playing half ass.

That issue needs to be addressed. Something was not done right. Has to be something specific that happened or did not happen.

I agree with the WR room assessment. But if nothing is going to be addressed (stupidly), it helps to have as many other weapons as possible.

We are not having Allar game manage us to a NC. Never will happen. That is at best a 2 loss regular season and at best a quarterfinal appearance.

Need a passing game. Not 300 yards a game but at least we need one. Warren being gone should improve WR production. AK needs to figure out how to scheme the WRs open. If he can't then we won't beat elite teams. Ohio State and Oregon can take away our run game or at least enough where we need to demonstrate we have a pulse in the pass game.

Didn’t JJ McCarthy go pretty high in the draft with a similar approach?
JJ had a better supporting cast (WRs) that actually could make plays
And Allar's not coming back to go 10th--he can do that now
He's allegedly coming back to improve/grow/develop--that isn't happening throwing 22 times a year like JJ did last year

There's two discussions here--all of this is great for Penn State--none is great for Drew's development which should be his priority. Drew's loyal though and is putting what's best for his friends/teammates first so he's coming back to win a title and it's hindering his long term development.

Next year we should pound the ball--that doesn't make sense with Allar as your QB--you're wasting him and his development is being stunted.

Like them both .. almost wish one wasn't coming back so we could have a better chance of retaining the young RBs.
I was thinking the exact same thing. We have some very good young RB's who may not want to stick around another year to get playing time. Hope JF has a plan to rotate them into the lineup.

How do you rotate them in with Allen and Singleton? How many carries do they all get? They're both coming back....they need at least 12 carries each a game...that 24 and I'm sure both want more. Barring injury the kids only play in blowouts which there could be a bunch of

I am hoping Martin sees some playing time at WR. He is listed at 6ft 1in, so has height for the position.

I did forget about him. Hopefully some 3 TE sets are being evaluated.

Easy, you put them in the game to get some descent carries. There is plenty of time with nicks and bruises to get a guy like Martin some playing time. Three RB's are almost a necessity in the Big 10.

Who in the Big Ten regularly uses three backs
There's not enough carries for this. Play Martin in the slot some but even that should be Singleton more often than not.
See teams like ASU and Boise--they rarely use a second RB let alone a third

Why don't you get off that keyboard and "go out and get laid." There will be plenty of times when you can insert a guy like Martin into the lineup to play "RB" even with Singleton and Allen. Never know, he may beat one of them out in the spring, the kid is quick and shifty between the tackles, something we need in the backfield.

He may best one out in the spring lol
As either Allen or Singleton are returning without guarantees. Martin has no chance to get meaning snaps at RB barring injury
Maybe you need to go get laid
If you're playing 3 backs you don't have a good one. Two guys just got a lot of cash to come back...that's not to sit kiddo

If you factor in one OL leaving and the emergence of Rucci (who had a great game vs ND) this sis pretty exciting. We should have the best offense in college football. If I was a top flight WR, I'd be looking to move to PSU

The best offense that loses their only receiving threat and just had zero WR catches due an entire CFB game?

Great news, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Then he needs to transfer to play in an offense that will showcase him
It is so obvious that you are not a PSU fan. True PSU fans are excited about Allar’s return with the offensive line and RB’s returning. Yet, you continuously advocate for his leaving without ever expressing joy for his return. If you were truly a fan, you would be excited for this player, who you allegedly deem as special, returning to the team who you allegedly cheer for. Every single post that you make is annoying and frustrating for true PSU fans. You are obviously trolling and the board moderators are allowing it.

if this were my board, you would be banned for obviously trolling. It would certainly clean up this board of the junk.

How am I not a Penn State fan? I think Drew coming back is great for Penn State as is Kaytron and Nick
I'm talking about Allar's future--which is a different conversation.
How would I not be excited about watching him play? Have you seen me talk about the kid?
The fact you think I'm trolling is just beyond stupid
Unlike you, I want what is best for the kids as well. I'm not selfish and understand this is bigger than me. Drew's best decision isn't returning. We all know that even those that refuse to acknowledge it. If he was smart he'd enter the draft or transfer. But loyalty is winning here so hopefully it plays out well for him. Once the deadline for the draft passes I'll stop talking about what he should do BUT as of today, returning to Penn State is not the best decision for him. It's just the best decision for me you and primarily Franklin

Rucci had by far the worst PFF overall offense rating for the ND game.

Blah blah blah. Same song over and over again. Absolutely never acknowledging the potential benefits to returning as though they don’t exist. You are a troll and you make this board miserable for true fans. You are a successful troll, I will give you that but that is a function of board moderators who allow it to continue. I place them at blame for creating an environment that allows trolling rather than discussions amongst real fans.

I question the motives of the moderators for allowing this trolling to continue. They obviously like the traffic you produce but it is seriously becoming unbearable. It one thing for allowing occasional trolling but allowing continuous trolling is another thing. It is disrespectful to this site’s faithful followers.

Yeah, I don't know why people keep saying how great he is--he's a great depth guy though

Same song because you keep doing the same nonsense
What are the benefits of him returning without us adding a legit receiver in a run heavy offense?
How is that a troll?
Their motives could be as simple as I'm saying what they wish they could to ridiculous comments made by a segment of the fans obsessed with the past.
