It’s never too early to think about the next football season, and Tuesday morning Penn State Homecoming announced the date for its 2018 homecoming game.

On Oct. 13, the Nittany Lions will play their homecoming game against Michigan State, announced Penn State Homecoming on Twitter.

The annual Homecoming Parade will be held Friday, Oct. 12. The following day will mark the homecoming football game — the 99th annual for Penn State.

"Penn State Homecoming is looking forward to welcoming home alumni to continue the celebration of Penn State pride and tradition,” Ally Berdan, executive director of 2018 Penn State Homecoming, said. “We look forward to ending our week of exciting events surrounded by the Penn State community in Beaver Stadium.”

It'll be tough to top the 2017 homecoming, when a 35-6 Penn State win over Rutgers was capped off with strength staff coach Chance Sorrell proposing to his girlfriend:

Assuming a white out for OSU, maybe they want to make the MSU game bigger than All University day, although I would have guessed Illinois for HC. Wisky will probably end up being the stripe out. Plus isn't this the first time we'll play MSU at home when it was the last game of the season?

may be the game of the year as MSU returns almost everyone from last year. They play NW at home the week before and Michigan at home the week after.

I think maybe the chastity belts could be giving to MSU fans to be placed over their mouths and locked as they enter the stadium. When the leave the keys could be thrown in the trash.... just to keep the hypocrisy at a minimum.

Unfortunately teams only get them at home every other year. Maybe Delany could change that. I don't think the folks in Piscataway would notice.
