I'm reaching on this one but there's a good chance the teams don't get a cut of the TV money if they don't play. If this is the case, the teams would have to pay out of pocket in a year they aren't making jack squat with ticket sales. I know it isn't exact, but Ben is getting in the range of 34 million this year. Paying him alone for a missed game would cost $2.125 million. I know the Rooneys are good people but business is business.

I don’t think any of them come off by Tuesday. Jackson will not play.

Since Jackson tested positive, he sits 10 days from the day he tested positive (which was Thursday). I believe Baltimore had a number of other players test positive since there game last Sunday. They too will be forced to sit.

Close contacts requires players to sit for 5 days.

Ravens practice reportedly cancelled day before rescheduled game against Pittsburgh Steelers

PITTSBURGH — A day before the rescheduled game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens’ practice was cancelled Monday morning by the NFL.

With snow forecasted in Pittsburgh Tuesday morning, Schefter also said in a tweet that the Ravens’ travel plans are “in flux.”

NFL cancelled Ravens practice scheduled for this morning, per league source. Ravens last practiced the Saturday before the Titans’ game and currently are scheduled to play in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

Channel 11′s Jenna Harner said reports indicate the Ravens were set to practice at 9:30 a.m., but the NFL said they’d be shut down until about 5 p.m. There’s reportedly potential to practice later Monday when test results come in.


The Steelers were supposed to host the Ravens on Thanksgiving, but a COVID-19 outbreak in Baltimore led to it being postponed twice so far: first to Sunday and then to Tuesday.

As for the Steelers, the team has placed four players on the reserve/COVID-19 list since Thursday. The group includes James Conner and Stephon Tuitt. Two coaches, special teams coordinator Danny Smith and quarterbacks coach Matt Canada, will also be unavailable should the Steelers end up playing on Tuesday due to what the team called an “illness.”
