Nolf takes JoJo Smith! Zain TF's his opponent

Joe is going to beat your golden child next time they meet. No way anybody gets by Martinez this year unless he is hurt.

Joe Smith is a very tough kid. He did very well in this tournament and I'm sure that the knowledgeable fans that frequent this site are impressed with his performance. Why do you show up here to leave a skid mark after he did so well? I'm embarrassed for you.

I agree Smith showed well in that match although I will say Nolf looked a little out of sorts in the 3rd period. Not very comfortable playing defense nursing a small lead.

So true, and an excellent question. Unfortunately, there are a few PSU fans who do the same thing.

Nah, Jason probably widens the gap next time. He's a smarter kid with better coaching.

There's a bitter Cowboy fan on the Flo Boards who also calls Nolf the Golden Child. I don't quite get the jealousy - Nolf earns his plaudits.

i wasnt going to post that until I see the match again, but thats how I saw it too. Nolf looked tight and certainly allowed JoJo to dictate the action in the 3rd.

By not backing up for 7 minutes. Duh.

Not gonna happen, especially if Coach Smith decides to keep the redshirt.

Hey Mike - same team, different wrestlers. Are you old enough to remember the Keller twins from way back?

What is it with Stillwater and starving Pa boys - Wildasin, Oliver until they let him eat senior year, and now Chance? The food must suck there.
Joey Wildasin was always sucking weight, going back to high school. We wrestled together before districts at Hanover High School and they warmed up the wrestling room to what seemed like 85 degrees. No one needed it more than Joey, as he'd have layers upon layers of rubber suits, tee shirts, sweatshirts... but no one worked as hard as he did. In round robin, live action, coaches make him go hard against guys who were 20 lbs heavier. He never bulked at it. He'd just go hard... real hard for the amount of time needed. Never slacked. Three time PA state champs are made in such ways.

Lord that brings back bad memories.....your post made me remember sitting in the open shower area of the locker room with all the showers on full blast hot (we didn't have a steam room or sauna) with a rubber suit on when it was really coming down to crunch time for "weigh ins" and your only choice left was to lose "water weight". Still remember gorging on food after tournaments or duals where that would happen.

Let me start with... Lords that brings back rough memories... Lol

Amalone I grew up with Joey I could tell you some real doozies for stories about that fine man.He pretty much grew up in my house with my brother and I. Yes I will attest to the persona that John Smith pretty much uses and ruins wrestlers, on a year to year basis. I never really understand why great wrestlers go there to die!

It was fun watching Nolf backing up most of that match, I'm sure you all will watch the match again on rewind so it looks like he is moving forward. As for tough guy Mike, I don't hide who I am by some false name. All you have to do is ask who is Mikey T at Nationals, I will probably be having a beer with a few PSU fans. Look me up, you can buy the next round!

3 TDs to 1
Riding time advantage
JJ had a stall on him, don't know about Nolf

Looks to me like Nolf attacked enough. Look for more next time after he felt your guy out.

But you've got bigger issues post-scuffle. It's nice to see you picking on Jimmy Gulibon on Twitter, though.

Did you watch that match Chicken, that last TD was at the last few second when Joe was trying to catch up to backpeddling nolf

Backing up to secure a win is different than backing up 5 seconds into a match a la Chris Perry (e.g. 174 Finals v Brown). Maybe JoJo wouldn't have been so desperate if he wrestled better in the first 2 periods.

Look to me like Nolf dominated him for 2 periods and then threw Jojo on his face at the end of the third. Love where Nolf is kneeling on Jojo's forearms for the entire first period. Pretty classy for lil Jojo NOT to show up for the awards - big blank space where 2ND PLACE is supposed to stand. Who would let their son not show up LIKE A MAN? Pathetic. You'd probably advocate that lil man Mikey Tognetti.

BTW - I'll be asking around for you at Nationals in New York, tough guy Mike, if I remember your sorry arse. You will buy me a beer.

Mike, what say you about JoJo's sportsmanship. He isn't even on the podium for the awards, at least he isn't in the Flowrestling picture. Win or lose sportsmanship is one of the bedrocks of our sport...and yes I'll even buy you a beer in NYC if we run into each other again. Just leave the God-awful orange in OK!!

This guy is good if only for comedic purposes. How insecure do you need to be to post on another board just to be a wanker. Does he realize when he makes just plain dumb comments people just consider the source - very sad display from a fan base that is suppose to be so knowledgeable - but he is good for a laugh.

Deep down Mr. T is a psu fan. He struggles w the force at times. The darkness of the Midwest force is strong and lingers in many.

Whomever has a drink w him will walk away friends with him, that I know.

Those of you that know me understand that I never wrestled, but attended a great wrestling high school in western Pa (Canon McMillan). I played football with a lot of wrestlers, so we ate together at lunch in high school a lot of times.

It was just about habitual that the wrestlers would be giving up their desserts. So, some of my friends (not me) got into the habit of just taking the desserts off of their tray without asking. Well...one of our wrestlers was starving himself, but actually was in a position that day to eat his dessert. But, my other football buddy reached over to his plate to take his brownie...without asking... and....WHAMMM! The wrestler drove the fork into his hand and the blood sprayed on several people (Thankfully, I didn't get any of that on me).

They rushed the kid to the nurse's office and after a few minutes...we just laughed about it.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Never take food form a hungry dog or a starving wrestler! LMAOOOOOOO!!!

Look JoJo was late same as a few others during the night including a champion. He did show up when they were starting to face the other direction with a smile on his face. I stated facts, if you want to say more go for it, after all it never stopped me!:)

Mike, I'm assuming you agree that sportsmanship is important, and I qualified my statement with "he isn't in the Flowrestling picture" so if he showed up that's great. Now, can I assume you DON'T want a free beer?????

I agree on two points, #1 the most important is a free beer and distant #2 is sportsmanship. So can I have my free beer? :)

Nolf stalled his way to the opening takedown. And Smith had the only stalling warning. Pretty weak there, Mike.

Not nearly as weak as this, though:

You're a real man's man.

I was getting on CP for his gut feeling rankings early in the season and his commentating in the finals. I was using him as a example which I did direct it right at Flo and CP. I also did it earlier in the season too.

What's the word for this? Backpedaling.
