Is it me or does it seem like PSU doesn’t have as many dual meets as other teams. Is that accurate or am I mistaken

Our guys deserve a rest, I cant imagine how intense the live go’s are in our room.

Great point. Their practice and workout regime is tougher than most duals. I’d wrestle these kids the absolute minimum amount of duals and go to two good tournaments a year. Why beat them up. They need to be fresh at tournament time.

Bingo. Starting in Cael's 2nd season we went to a schedule in which we only had one dual on the final weekend of the regular season and have stuck with that plan and it seems to have worked.
The number of duals Penn State wrestles is perfect. And if the question is a curious one about why other teams wrestle more, Tom answered the question...and WrestleStat has all team's schedules. The computer is your friend.

To late, TnT figured out the scheduling secret several years back. However, it has not benefited them quite as much as it has us.

And their scheduling secret is don’t schedule PSU unless they have to or it benefits them!
They would not because you know, losing in front of record crowds is not beneficial to the Brand(s).
IMO, not all duals are created equal. 14 duals featuring all your uninjured starters > 16+ duals where top wrestlers routinely sit. I'm grateful that with PSU duals we can count on getting the full contingent of our superstars in the lineup (with rare exception).
