Would you rather have an October start minus Parsons and Friermuth playing OSU when they are at full strength or play them in November when they might lose Fields and several other starters as Phil pointed out? I would rather a November start where we have an advantage instead of a disadvantage. I cannot take another OSU loss. They cheat anyways with bagmen so I will take that advantage. I realize the season is more than just the OSU game, but the OSU game is 50% of the season with at Michigan the other 50%. In November we could go undefeated win the Big 10 and Rose Bowl if the Pac 10 joins us. That is NOT playing for nothing. Even in a shorter season it would still be huge for recruiting to go undefeated and winning the Big 10 and being Rose Bowl champs. Think long term future recruiting.
