In the waning seconds of a great win, of course chris fowler had to reflect on the scandal and sanctions. It's bad enough that he went there, but to make matters worse, he said the program was "shamed". Dickhead.

I have never been ashamed of the Penn State football program.

They have no idea the amount of info that is being revealed in the trials, nor do they want to know.

Bet he regrets saying it. Usually a good guy.

Talking heads. Just ignore that BS.
I, too, hate that crap, but it seems to be fading away.
People will be talking about that game all week, not the past.

All good points. Fortunately we are hearing less and less of that B.S. On the plus side, they showed highlights of a 1974 game against Stanford (?) and said nothing negative when they showed Joe.

To be honest- I don't think he regrets it at all. Over the past 5 years he's gone 'there' a lot. Even in games where there's a win/upset or a good storyline to discuss- he almost seems reluctant to focus on that and always circles back to the JS mess somehow.

That's him.

Funny how you never hear him remind the viewers of the Bernie & Boheim mess ala Syracuse.

Instead of focusing on the fact it was mentioned, you should focus on HOW it is now mentioned: A key turning point was reached tonight. From now on, the narrative is now about the RECOVERY and the HEALING from the scandal and how a community and a program are working to make strides in delivering us out of it.

It was going to be a long, long, long struggle, tonight was the biggest step in digging out, since ground zero 5 years ago.

WE've come a long way, and there is still a long way to go, but now progress is being shown on the national stage.

We won't raise Joe from the Dead, and we won't get his image back. If that's what you are waiting for, then either root for another team, or pray that you are the one who brings back life spans to Biblical days.

We are doing all that we can and we are making damn good progress, and Jay, Scott, Sue, and everyone else, I will guarantee, were smiling tonight. They weren't raging mad about a misstep that Chris Fowler made in an attempt to say something deep or profound.

In that instant, he lost me forever. It was petty and uncalled for.
