It's common for the defense to have an inherent advantage against the OL during spring practice and off-season drills, but this year it has been a slightly different story as the battles have been fairly even. Defensive linemen agree and Connor McGovern says in the link below that he feels in the first contact scrimmage of the spring, the OL had the upper hand. He is aiming for that to progress into the season.
“We just want to bring that physical aspect back,” McGovern said. “We want to be the leading group. We don’t want Trace or Saquon or anyone else to have to lead the offense. We want to lead the offense first from up front.”
