Official Graham Spanier trial thread.

I agree. You should wait for the transcripts. I know I look forward to their being published. Even though I was there, re-reading will be beneficial to me as well.

My impressions - regardless of the outcome (and I'd say it's 50/50 right now on any conviction on any count) - I do believe the transcripts will help shed light on the truth. And for me, personally, that's all I've ever wanted.

So Tim Curley reported to Jack Raykovitz that Second Mile kids could not longer use PSU facilities with Sandusky. The result....."someone" handed the keys to a local hotel fitness center to JS. HMMM.....and Tim Curley was prosecuted. Only in the wacky world of The Commonwealth.

You will torture the transcripts to fit the narrative in your head. Then you will be off to the MSU Board to do more good on the Nassar case, right?

Interesting take for sure. Not really accurate unless you were saying Joe knew for sure. I know I wasn't saying that 2-3 weeks ago but it is clear as day he knew Jerry was investigated before. As did everyone involved at PSU. Does that mean GS guilty of leading this charge? Not really thus far. If anything the two below him jacked this up.
I have a different take on 98. All the kings horses and men poked around JS. He walked away without a hand being laid on him. I don't see why 01 was not more of the same.

I've read this repeatedly here, but do we have factual evidence about Heim giving hotel access to Jerry anywhere that I can read? Thanks.

Thanks for the update. Have you booked your flight yet for Dr. Nassar's hearing on May 12th?

The truth is already out there already, clearly GS should walk out of their a free man. What the jury decides doesn't change the truth one way or the other.

Maybe then the focus can shift to those that actually failed the victims.

From what I have read, the case against Spanier is INCREDIBLY weak. If Barry is right and all it ends up taking is an emotional "victim", who couldn't remember within several years when he was abused, to convict him, then Spanier never had a prayer.

Did your boss grant you days-off or did you take vacation?

I don't know who made the arrangements.....but I have read that Jerry was able to use the fitness center at The Hilton Garden Inn. There may be others that can verify this and make the connection to who the owners were at the time.

What "sham 501(c)" are you and your "genius CPA" husband  planning on opening next?

And it says a lot about the OAG to stoop to such tactics.

Really? So after the prosecutor presents their case and before the defense presents theirs, you think it's 50/50? Doesn't seem like the prosecution's case was very compelling!!!!!

So you don't error on the side of caution in their position. Not too smart regardless. The second time you hear something it almost has to at least raise an eyebrow and it did. They had the right discussions but made the wrong final choice.

I can at least admit I was wrong. Some here would rather bite their tongue off I guess. Mistakes were made all over.
I don't like putting myself in the place of others. Especially Tim Curley....who I know to be bright and principled. I believe he did what he thought was right. We can all win as we look in the rear view mirror. We have a former president somewhere, who thought Sandusky was a national treasure.

So this board was inundated for days before the trial with promises of "new" and yet to be revealed evidence that would justify The Commonwealth's prosecution. What we got was a big wet cow turd. Absolutely surreal that the OAG could parade Jack Raykovitz as their star witness! LOL.

Been waiting since the Peliminary Hearing - - - for evidence to support the charges.
Still waiting

That said - who knows what a jury decides

More "interesting" to me:!
The GSpan defense counsel has gone through this entire Pros case - - - and might as well have been out at the creek fishing

I agree that juries are frightening. But based on the evidence presented.....it is as we thought. These men never should have been charged.

Thanks. It's hard to read in that photo due to small text, but it appears to be testimony from the front office manager of a hotel stating he was instructed to give Sandusky the key to the fitness center so he could bring 2nd Mile kids around. Does it state who instructed him to do so?

You're welcome. The testimony in the pic was from Mandy Musser at the JS trial on 6/12/12. Unfortunately I don't think they were ever asked who it was the instructed her to provide access. How convenient!

Here's some more info

It does. Unfortunately PSU paid an enormous price for their "mistakes" and many of the more culpable (in my opinion) walked away scott free. Some may have even even made money from their "mistakes".

What it it makes me question is if Paterno downplayed the incident on purpose and wasn't truthful. He calls it horseplay, MM said it was sexual, CSS goes with Paterno. Paterno then lies to the GJ. It certainly seems plausible.

Absolutely...mistakes made all around. Though that fact doesn't make any of the mistakes criminal in nature. Even after they plead guilty, C/S testified they believed they were doing the right thing.
