We knew this on Tuesday. The rest of us have been walkin' the appalachians all week looking for unattended stills in preparation for tonight.
I just don't get the hate for Millen on this board.
Do you watch college football? He sucks as an announcer. He doesn't know anything. Beth and Pam know more than him. If their voices weren't so grating, I'd prefer them.

He's a PSU grad and former all american with three super bowl rings. He left it all on the field for PSU when he played. Does his schtick get old at times, yes, but I just don't get the seeming universal hate for him here.

The real reason is the perceived snub of Joe. If MM had taken a strong stance, people here would say he is the greatest announcer ever.
Even if he brought Joe back from the dead he'd still be the worst color commentator doing college football.
11 sacks in 12 years...he wasn't even active for one of those rings (aka he was a practice dummy). It's easy to cherry pick facts if you want. We were just commenting that he sucks as an announcer, but if you want to bring up he sucked as a player also, so be it.

It seems like Millen is SO concerned about being considered a Penn State homer that he goes WAY overboard in praising the opposing team and agreeing with close calls that go against PSU. He is making a big mistake in doing this.

Great post. Basically, it appears that you really enjoy having people suck your ass. But I'm guessing that happens pretty rarely.
In one case he mentioned Downey being in the game instead of Gonzalez. Well....Gonzo was just two guys to Dowrey's left. I think that was before he realized McGovern wasn't in the game...it took him several possessions to stop screwing up his talking about our guards.
Millen is an awful announcer, but his partner was every bit as awful last night. Still can't believe he was trying to make a case for ou at halftime last night. Is hating PSU part of the job description for these guys? Why would a Big TwelevEnteeN announcer look for reasons to push a team from another conference for the playoff? (in the first half, no less)
