Why am I looking at a team that got 0 points at the tournament last year? Because I've always wanted to go Athens. The Bobcats are poised to at least double, if not triple their points from last season.... (Actually, it's not a bad looking team and they should have several qualifiers this season.)

125 – Laney (Jr) <Pickerington North, OH>

Shakur (cool name) Laney is back from a redshirt season. He qualified in 2017, going 28-8 overall and 2-2 from the 13 seed in the tournament. Laney also qualified in 2016, going 0-2. Last season, Trevor Giallombardo (So) went 4-15 as the starter.

133 – Guillen (So) <Perrysburg, OH> or Kyran Hagan (Fr) <Eureka, MO>

Mario Guillen went 10-6 and moved up to end the season as the starter @141 (didn’t qualify). He did have a couple of wins against qualifiers @125 and @141. Kyran Hagan went 21-6 in his redshirt season @133 (no wins against qualifiers).

141 – Kelly (Sr) <Bellbrook, OH>

Cameron Kelly moves up from 133. Kelly went 25-8 overall and 0-2 in the tournament last season. He was Ohio’s only qualifier last season.

149 – Alec Hagan (Fr) <Eureka, MO>

Alec Hagan went 17-3 @141 during his redshirt season and had a couple of wins against qualifiers. Last season Kade Kowalski went 10-11 overall and didn’t qualify for the tournament (one win against a qualifier – Kyle Springer).

157 – Carson (Jr) <Lake, OH>

Zac Carson transferred in from Eastern Michigan. Last season, he went 21-13 overall and 0-2 in the tournament @165 for EMU. If he stays @165, it looks like an open battle between several wrestlers for the 157 spot. Cullen Cummings went 10-15 as the starter last season (his final year of eligibility).

165 – Terry (So) <Pickerington Central, OH> or Yinger (Fr) <Nelsonville-York, OH>

Joe Terry moved down from 174 midway through last season to become the starter @165. He went 13-13 overall and didn’t qualify for the tournament (no wins against qualifiers). Colt Yinger is an incoming freshman that finished 5th @160 in the Ohio D3 championships.

174 – Reese (Sr) <Mechanicsburg, OH> or Ashughyan (Sr) <Armenia>

Austin Reese moved up from 165 to become the starter @174 before his season ended with an injury. He was 13-5 and had a couple of wins against NCAA qualifier, Jacob Morrissey (Purdue) @165. Reese qualified in 2016 @165, going 0-2. Arsen Ashughyan ended last season as the starter @174 and went 2-5. Ashughyan was the full season starter @174 in 2017, going 19-16 (didn’t qualify for the tournament).
[I suppose Reese could be @165 and Terry @174 this season. I’m just conjecturing here… The Ohio roster isn't even updated on their website yet.]

184 – Yeargan (Jr) <Willard, MO>

Hunter Yeargen went 16-12 last season and didn’t qualify for the tournament (no wins against qualifiers).

197 – Naples (So) <Brunswick, OH>

Aaron Naples went 8-14 as a true freshman starter last season. He did have two wins against Kyle Conel.

Heavy – Parker (Sr) <Caesar Rodney, DE>

Zack Parker is back for his final season with the Bobcats. He went 17-16 last season and didn’t qualify for the tournament. He did qualify in 2017, going 0-2.

Ohio returns their one qualifier from last season, adds a transfer that qualified last season and returns three former qualifiers.
