Playoff. It's amazing to me that a head-to-head OSU loss doesn't hurt them, yet head-to-head wins benefit UM. Other than the head-to-head beating we took from UM in September without our top four linebackers (one of whom was ejected on a bogus targeting call, as admitted by the B1G), the "eye test", especially on the recent body of work is in our favor. Look at the comparable scores. First, forget about how much everyone beat Rutgers by. A rout is a rout. In the last month of the season, MSU was a common foe - We beat them by 33, UW by 24, UM by 9 and OSU by 1. Looks like a good eye test there. Indiana, a good team, we beat by 14, UM by 10 and OSU by 21 - pretty comparable. Iowa, a good team, we beat by 27, UW by 8 and UM lost by 1. Comparable looks good for us again. We beat OSU by 3, UM lost by 3 and UW lost by 7. Looks good for us again! And here's another interesting tidbit - the team that finished 3rd in the division we won is 2 ahead of us in the rankings. Huh? If we manage to win the championship of the best conference in the country after winning the best division in the country, and don't make the Playoff, then the whole playoff system is a farce! It's time for an 8-team playoff with the Power 5 conference winners and 3 at-large teams! Rant over.
