I think it's horseshit. I knew I was gonna have to leave earlier anyways, due to travel and needing to be at work the next day, but not starting the session that is the culminating event until 8pm is a miscue IMO.
Hope my plane has wifi.
Not much. Absent any information, I assumed worst case on the day I purchased my ticket, and so I reserved an AirBnB Friday through Monday and scheduled to take Monday off from work.
On Monday, I received a big envelope in the mail from Penn State. I though they finally accepted me after a record 43 year wait list.
Normal I'd be ecstatic as it was my Olympic Trials VIP tickets but......
Was so looking forward to it and time with my sons.
If the bad news continues, Does anyone have China's 800 number where I can apply for a refund?

Silver College was cancelled today. Not that that means Trials automatically will be, but doesn’t look good.

don't know... some of the school 'closings' say until April 5. Maybe 'toughing' it out through March will provide a different light on April...
Me too, first trip to PSU and to a wrestling event of this magnitude. Christmas present from my wife. Ticket just came a few days ago.

They don’t have to decide yet, but they will, and it won’t be good news for team wrestling. Hopefully, it’s a solid boost for team human.
Come on down anyways. We can rent a big room at one of the hotels and watch each national championship we won the last ten years and have a few beers. F it lets do it just keep it under 250 or we won't be able to congregate lol
Hers a question. Will ESPN show last year's nationals like a re run since nationals is cancelled. That would be sweet. Another chance to watch Bo and nolf and the rest of the team.

U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Wrestling postponed, discussions to reschedule at Bryce Jordan Center
Due to the ever-changing impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and out of concern for the health and wellbeing of athletes, fans, staff and the community, USA Wrestling, Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, the Bryce Jordan Center and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee have collectively decided to postpone the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Wrestling, scheduled for April 4 – 5 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa.
Organizers are working closely with local officials and health experts in hopes of rescheduling the event at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Updated event information will be shared as soon as possible. In the meantime, ticket holders are asked to hold on to their tickets until future event details can be finalized.

They could do that but it would probably be blocked out and not shown in Iowa City.

I plan to do exactly that, but my 2nd round recording got zapped. Unfortunately, that round had the best match - Nolf destroying Van Brill. Nolf’s 2nd or 3rd TD was savage - some sort of trip. Van Brill wanted off the mat in the worst way but had to take his beating.
Before the match a bunch of Rutgers goons, including Richie Lewis and Eleazor de Luca, were chirping to Nolf. Did not end well for them

This event is a qualifying event for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Wrestling.
With the delay of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Wrestling, which was announced earlier today, the date of the Last Chance Olympic Trials Qualifier will be scheduled at an appropriately-timed date prior to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
USA Wrestling will provide information on this event as soon as possible."
